While driving down Shields Road, Walkergate earlier this evening, I was confronted by a Cardiff Corporation Scania bendibus being driven in the opposite direction. It displayed ON TEST in the blinds and was in full Cardiff livery with reg CN06 GFK and fleetnumber 614. I couldn't tell whether it had just come out of Walkergate depot, or had just been driven past, so I am putting this thread under Stagecoach, just in case.
Another possibility could be that GNE have acquired it for schools contracts from Percy Main to replace Omnidekkas, or a local independent has purchased it. Again, someone locally could be carrying out servicing work on it, but I have to say that none of these options seem very likely.
Does anyone have any info about why the vehicle has appeared in Newcastle ?
Has Busways acquired a Scania bendibus ?!!!

Interesting as Cardiff bus have just taken delivery of new vehicles. Another interesting movement on bus times shows Manchester 19337 just outside lanchester, just wondering if this is the first for the 317 ?
