(27 Jan 2014, 8:08 am)Kuyoyo wrote Buses under 7.5tonnes (aka MPD & Solos) have to meet DDA requirement by the end of this year (deadline date is 1/1/2015), the rest of the single deckers by 01/01/2016 and deckers by 01/01/2017.

I believe all MPD's non DDA, have already been withdrawn. All the ones in service now I think match DDA regs.

Probably still negotiating with CSC to see if they'll pay for a better brand Big Grin

That will be down to a number of the Cadets being at Peterlee.

That was originally speculated on the forum, but I undertand that the Cadets are to be allocated officially.

I'm sure one of GNE representatives said this, rather than forum discussion/speculation. However, i imagine if Solars are to be allocated; Solars will probably be considered as the best choice to cover on branded services (60, 35, 20, 2A/2C) so cadets will fill the void on the 26.
Also there's only just say enough cadets to match PVRs of 29/38.

* Did Malarkey find Ingeus? YES

* Did he get there on time? NO (10 Minutes Late)

* Which buses did he use to get there? X1 to Wrekenton then Sainsbury's Free Bus

* Did he have red or brown sauce on his bacon sandwich? Didn't have time for Bacon Sandwich as I was running late having over slept, And I don't like Red or Brown Sauce

* Is the course full of things he has done already? No Idea as i'm getting Transferred over to Sunderland instead, so my start date has changed to Next Monday, so that I don't have catch up on over a Weeks work

* Did he manage to catch sight of the new x66 branding? Yes and it looks Pretty Epic - Saltmeadows Bus Driver showed me a Photo on his Camera whilst both took photos of 5390 with it's White Blind on the Saltwell Park 53 at Gateshead Interchange

Just to confirm, service 29 should be Cadets on 5 boards. There is a further 3 boards which should be Scania L94, with 1 of those boards doing 29's in between Scholars

I imagine spares. Thinking about it, SPD's were only really allocated to the 26; 2 I believe were required, which left 9 for spares. There's now three allocated Solars, 11 are left for spares.

If so, i would rather have the scanias out than the cadets/B10's...

X25 is getting ex whey aye 50 scanias when the omnis transfer from percy main, 71s getting B10s. Should see at least 5 tridents being withdrawn.
