Hopefully they'll put a post out about them and put something in the Sunderland Echo

Not bad, you'll probs be the first person to complete the set!

9th one photographed today, 73075 (FVN) also now at Stockton!
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
Some of the Sunderland Yutongs stored at Stockton have gained branding above the windows, as seen on 73075 (which like at least some of the others also now carries its fleetnumber)

The zeros in "0%" and "100%" are Stagecoach logos.

It’s not ‘branding’.
Nevertheless, good somethings been added to point out they’re zero emissions, at least ‘at the tailpipe’.

Shame, they haven't got a "Electric" based livery.
Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
I thought there would have at least been some kind of branding for the E1/2/6 considering those are the routes they were bought for afaik. Although stagecoach haven’t really been big on branding since the local livery came about.

But why? For a little bit of nostalgia for a shrinking group of people and some spotters?

We need to be aiming to get buses in one identity region wide, not making them worse by other operators going down the same path as GNE.

I think they just want the flexibility. Unless they're upping the frequency of the Ecos, there's too many buses coming. Everyone is being familiarised on them, including drivers that don't do the Ecos.

To be honest knowing the north east and their love for allocating buses to the wrong routes, that doesn’t seem too far fetched. They’ll be running around southwick whilst the E300s are trundling up the coast road. I wonder if there will be some kind of mandatory route allocation like they do with the voltra routes in Newcastle.

Does anyone know if preparations have started for Stockton's electrification, as an area in the compound near the fence has been coned off and the parked vehicles (including the Sunderland Yutongs) have been moved forwards away from the fence.

It's in service if it's the one I think I just saw in Stockton. It's not tracking, at least not as itself, if it was that one. (It had the black window surround painted in body colour and a Stagecoach West Scotland type remembrance poppy on the front - 4 petals unlike the 2 petal Stagecoach North East ones)

To answer myself, the yard at Stockton is currently being dug up along the fence.

I wonder what the chances of Hartlepool getting anything decent soon are. They is currently at least 4 buses off the road and last night 36086 decided to completely give up as well. The electrics decided to completely go so it went completely dead. This is after 36405 failed it’s MOT and 34611 seemingly don’t want to work anymore either so they seem almost certain to get completely withdrawn now. It looks like on bus times two more buses have giving up today as well although that could just be a problem with the tracking. Either way though Hartlepool has buses breaking down almost every day which is really not good that’s on top of the services becoming completely unreliable.

If you mean 34605 this is showing as having a valid MOT until Aug 2025.

So a bit of a stretch to claim its failed it's MOT and almost certain to be withdrawn.  It may be that it has an unrepairable fault but it also may be awaiting parts.  It's not unusual for a bus to be out of service for a few weeks.  Even more so with 34611 given it's been VOR for less than a week!

The electric work in the yard is now underway - around 25 charging points have been delivered so far, electric work has started.

27615 currently on the 38 that left Middlesbrough at 1130

You sure ?

36405 is based at Merthyr Tydfil, not 34605. Unless its moved very recently, of course.

So some interesting news regarding Stockton depot in the 12-18 months they will have their depot knocked down and rebuilt and by May 2025 they will have a full fleet of brand new electric buses. That should mean their current buses will transfer elsewhere or be withdrawn depending on age. I’m guessing the 262’s will go to Newcastle?

But my question is Newcastle has to be the busiest in the north east for Stagecoach yet we seem to be last for everything constantly receiving second hand buses which looks to be the case again next year. Where is this investment for Slatyford? We need a new depot for the electric buses, our current fleet of buses are not fit for purpose. It’s honestly a joke the way the company treat Slatyford.
