Arriva State of The Fleet

If it’s obvious, have you got confirmation of these mysterious Pulsars from the NW for the summer increase? They’ve already got the MMCs back, and retained all other deckers over the winter, so they are covered for the summer increase on paper.

If you read the comment that everyone is putting instead of pinning onto mine I mentioned the NW pulsars because they're coming to replace the temsas nothing to do with summer services
RE: Arriva State of The Fleet
Redcar are well enough capable of running the summer services right now. All their Deckers have been active in the last week with some even adventuring on 62's and 95's because the MMC's are all on the X93. The extra 3 X94 boards will just fine along with the Whitby Park & Ride. Lets be honest with it also. We all know Redcar tend to throw a capable Pulsar on the X94 at times and that will no doubt happen again this summer. Everyones acting like it's the end of the world is near xD

You asked what was replacing those Temsas given the summer service kicks in next month, my reply was stating that those Temsas have already been replaced and Redcar have enough vehicles already to cover the summer PVR increase.

You replied to a post which explicitly mentioned summer services...

(28 Mar 2025, 11:05 am)PH - BQA wrote It’s (1534) listed as being at Redcar for the summer PVR increase.

The Ashington Solo is continuing to cover for VORs, they have had several off with engines and 7545 is off currently with significant accident damage.

Ultimately if they’re all working, they’ll likely stay in the fleet until they suffer a major failure, run out of test, or the VOR level reduces to the point they are surplus.

Aye that's fair, guess it'll be gone in May anyway since that's when I've heard the Evora's are due so makes sense having it there so they can get rid of it.

The latest allocation sheet shows this is true, 7516 is replacing 7517, which is now in disposal.

1409 going to Stockton to allow 1450 to be withdrawn from service.

1534 to go into Redcar fleet, officially. Service 81 reverts to Minibus operation in the allocation sheet also. Service 95 showing as a single decker.

Anything from redcar being withdrawn or still same fleet till the pulsar and envora arrive.

7517 withdrawn due to chassis problems

Redcar also has numerous spare vehicles currently because of the reduction in the X93/X94 timetable.

How many buses does it want?

4700 12 15 20 22 26 no replacements  wouldn't class that as loads of spares   the temsas replacements  should be prior before  Anymore get withdrawn

Don't think 1397/8/9 and 3052/3 pushed anything out did they? I'd assume they're the replacements for the Temsa's that have gone. Don't disagree about sending anything else out though, to be fair.

To be fair though the fleets at both Redcar and Stockton are appalling, they've literally got 4 buses between them which are newer than 10 year old and the vast majority of it is closer to 15 year old than 10 year old aswell.

The Evora's as nice as they'll be won't change much either and now with the electric upgrade at Redcar being cancelled it's not looking good for either in the short term either.

You've already said, and it's been said numerous times that Redcar will be more than fine on paper for it.

4700/12/15/20/22/26 were not withdrawn without replacements.
