RE: Bus incidents
(22 May 2025, 5:59 pm)Shrek wrote A cyclist pulled out in front of a 45 on Gosforth High Steer earlier causing the driver to make an emergency stop. Passengers said she did a great job and missed him by inches. Unfortunately a couple of Passengers were injured and they're awaiting an ambulance.

This is the third time I've heard of cyclists causing accidents on Gosforth High Street this week. The council need to look into the road urgently.

We nearly had similar on Durham Road, heading into Newcastle on Wednesday. Some dangerous **** turned right out of Allerdene and headed towards the Angel on the wrong side of the dual carriageway. Thankfully the driver reacted in time to not have to brake too hard.

Weardale bus involved in Crash in Barnard Castle, while running a school service. It's a northern echo link.

Looks to have been YJ14BBK which was on the 96 service, also appears to have been taken to Gardiners Coach Repairs at Spennymoor following the incident from looking at the tracking:  https://bustimes.org/vehicles/shil-yj14-.../750017837
RE: Bus incidents
Seen a post about a bus getting its windows put out in the dip at Hylton Castle heading towards Castletown.

Checked bus times and it looks like it was 5441 - https://bustimes.org/vehicles/gnel-5441?date=2025-09-26
