RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
11 of the 241**’s are rumoured to be heading to Walkergate unsure of what they’re replacing but could it be the 277**’s and they go back to Sunderland to replace the gas buses? Or could Sunderland get the 241**’s to replace the gas buses?

That’s stagecoach for you, the 65 plates weren’t euro 6 so had to go. The 241**’s they spent money making them Euro 6 so makes sense they want them to stick around in the north east.

Does anyone know if shields are expecting another 2 deckers as previously mentioned on here for scholars services. Had 2 from Sunderland for a couple of days before they swiftly returned
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
11 brand new 75 plate Yutongs out of the batch of 18 have now been delivered to Slatyford. Monday 29th September they will start to enter service.

37312 has joined the Slatyford fleet from Walkergate. Unsure if permanent but I would imagine so Walkergate shouldn’t have E200’s.

(18 Sep 2025, 10:53 pm)stagecoachbusdepot wrote Does anyone know what's happening with 19678/80/81?  19678/81 both transferred to Walkergate early July but neither have tracked as being used since the back end of that month?  19680 I think was VOR at Teesside and not sure if it transferred Northward or not.

19680 is still undergoing engine repairs at Stockton - once those are complete, it is due to transfer to Hartlepool where it is meant to be allocated to the UTC working as well as acting as back-up to Stockton’s electric decker.

It’s being kept at Stockton for a small while to monitor the engine

That's good news, though slightly surprised at the outlay on new engone for 15 year old bus - must be almost fully depreciated by now?

Anyone any insight around 19678/81 - seems odd for all the ex Stockton ones to be long term VOR by chance

I don’t think they like Hartlepool for some reason give us a decent full size bus for a few weeks then just take it away.

Hartlepool are getting 19680 but I do also worry about them just taking that eventually too. Don’t understand why they couldn’t keep 27238!

Yes they are also decent full size buses not doing anything been stored at Stockton which Hartlepool could use, I don’t understand why they not.

The only remaining vehicle presently parked in Stockton depot from the displaced fleet for reuse is 27180 - which, despite certain mentions - is still here, not with South West and as I understand it, has Busways legals applied so is likely off to Sunderland once work is completed on it. The rest of the redundant E300s have all departed for their new homes (including I believe 27166 after work on that has been completed).

Are 27177/78/81 still around in the NE somewhere?

Did all of the knackered old stuff stored at the back of Teesside go for scrap when the chargers were installed at the start of the year (I'm thinking of the long withdrawn MAN E200s 24121/69 and E300s 39707/10/23 etc)?  Presume the more recently withdrawn MANs are still in the shed, oe have they gone fro scrap already?

27178 is at Sunderland and 27181 is at Slatyford.

27177 hasn't been in service since May 2025 if Flickr is anything to go by following the Electrics entering service on Teeside.

Shame the gas buses are going... shame the plans for a gas and electric fleet at Sunderland never happened.

Are 27178/81 now stored at those two rather than in active use?

27177 looks to have been in use with Teesside till end of June and unless it was something else using the baseplate/mistracking appears tohave done a few days at Slatyford at the back end of July (as well as covering for the electrics in Sunderland when they had the charger issue)

Fingers crossed 28003 hangs on a while longer, will be sad to see Busways colours disappear again

Are you sure I thought all the withdrawn man’s and 05 plate enviros where stored in the shed.  Have been told anyway that they are basically getting moved out of the North East anyway.  It is frustrating though that Hartlepool never seems to get anything hardly apart from the worse buses from elsewhere.

24101-24110 will go to Walkergate when the Yutongs enter service at Slatyford on Monday. 24111-24115 will remain at Slatyford until the remaining Yutongs enter service.

I believe 24101-24110 will displace the 277’s at Walkergate to head back to Sunderland to replace some of the gas buses. With someone reporting 10923 at Slatyford from West Scotland I wonder if we can expect the rest of their 67 plate batch, 10918-10932 in the north east to potentially head to Walkergate as I believe 24101-24110 will only be there for a few weeks before heading south somewhere.

The majority of those West Scotland E400MMCs are destined for South West for the PVR increase with the stat of the new Cornwall College work out of the new Bodmin outstation. Their cascading had been delayed due to the delays in electrifying Ardrossan depot.
