RE: Stockton Depot
(Yesterday, 12:53 pm)Kuyoyo wrote Durham will gain 1430 and 1432 from reserve 'short term' should the P&R be retained. It's all in black and white on the fleet card.

Durham are also due electrics for the 48/X46 and 64 don't forget - along with the 21 single decker examples for Darlington's town network (apart from the tendered 16 17 and 18 - the 16 wasn't operated when the bid change happened, the 17 is linked to the out-of-town 8/8A, and electric operation on the 18 is not possible due to the railway bridge in Albert Hill), which will see 7514-6/8-21 all withdrawn alongside older Pulsars, as well as reportedly releasing the majority of the E200MMCs for cascade, likely to Yorkshire, with at least 2 being retained mainly for the 18 but also to be used on the Dalesbus contract.

Yeah makes sense, sorry wasn't clear there on the 'replacing part'. I meant the buses at Blyth there rather than down in Durham / Darlington.

Surprised at the E200MMC's heading to Yorkshire, thought they would've headed to Wales, the Midlands or Kent which are still flogging around MPD's and ancient Solo's.
RE: Stockton Depot
1430 and 1432 are short term cover, as originally the Durham EV double deckers were due to be in service well before the P&R season started.
Due to delays, this is unlikely to be the case, so these two have been earmarked for very short term cover to allow the MMC's to go to Whitby in time.

I'd expect the two MMC's to come out of Durham in Feb/March time for repaint, ready for 29 March start on the P&R.
RE: Stockton Depot
Baby e200mmcs to Yorkshire, who makes these decisions. Yorkshire do NOT need anymore minis, they DO Not have enough suitable work for the minis they already have

Plus the fact they are getting 6 stock e200mmcs 8.9m as well.

They will probably replace part of the 1001-1031 batch.

(Yesterday, 5:46 pm)busesofthenortheast wrote 1411 is double tracking so a driver at Ashington must of logged a bus into 1411 ticket machine by accident

Is it? Stopped tracking on the 7 at 09:23, started on the X22 at 12:13.

1411 was dual tracking the other day, assume 1441 was the second bus as that was sorted yesterday. 1443 only managed 4 trips yesterday before being taken off, so it is possible 1411 has been sent north?

(Yesterday, 8:54 am)Superman wrote The three MMCs are just up at Blyth for now while the repaints get done, they’ll be back down to Redcar once that’s all sorted.

Ashington’s set to get about 20 new double-deckers as part of the 2026 order, which by the sounds of it’s getting placed any day now. It’s part of a bigger ANE order, just shy of 70 buses all in. Then ye’ve got the Blyth, Durham and Darlington electrics to come as well, which should take the 2026 intake for ANE to just under 120 new motors, maybe even creeping into early 2027 depending on how the build slots land.

As folk’ve said a few times on here, the investment and fleet renewal’s ticking along bit by bit, can’t all happen overnight. Arriva Yorkshire’s due about 50 new vehicles from the end of December too, so if it all comes together, we’ll be looking at around 170 new buses across the North East and Yorkshire by the end of 2026.

Inside the company, the short- and medium-term allocations are all made for their own reasons, even if they divvent always make much sense from the outside. There’ll be a reason behind it somewhere.

Agreed that the investment is coming, just seems that the short-term allocations could be a bit more appropriate. Even if, temporarily, 7526 stays at Blyth to cover repaints and one of the 72-plates is sent for the X18.

120 new vehicles in a year is insane if it comes off, don't think ANE have ever had a bigger year? Even the huge Pulsar batch years wouldn't come close.

Seems like there'll be a hell of a lot of movement even outside of the new vehicles directly replacing things too, especially if the theory of everything that isn't painted is getting withdrawn is correct. An awful lot of Pulsars will be leaving.

1411 is double tracking again today
