Had my first experience of a nightbus earlier this morning. Was out partying in town with friends and decided to get the N56 home as it's a lot cheaper than a taxi.

We ended up on Simplicity 8328. A single from Newcastle to Wrekenton was only £3. There was more people on than I thought there was going to be mind. I would have said 15 other passengers in total.

I didn't realise as well that the N56 misses out Jackson Street & the High Street in Gateshead. Went straight up High West Street.

Correct - last August!

If memory serves - those Darts were gone by the first quarter of the year, the Waggonway's were gone by October and the Worm DAFs made it to November-ish.

Off to Edinburgh tomorrow. Plan is to get there just before 11am and grab something to eat from Greggs before going to the travelshop and getting a day ticket. Will have to go on the trams and the buses!
