Food
Think it has to be a good piece of rib eye or sirloin steak for me, with home made chunky chips. Unless you do it yourself like, I always find it difficult getting somewhere to cook your steak right!

Aside from that, I'm a fan of curries. Since the Rupali is no more, I tried that Cookson Spice up Waldridge. I'd highly recommend it on both quality and value.

My parents tend to order from there! Smile They've never been able to fault it, but I'm no fan of that sort of food. Wink

Wetherspoons Hot dog...nom nom nom nom
Pizza House half and half pizzas......nom nom nom nom
Pizza House kebabs........nom nom nom nom
Bait Box chips...........nom nom nom nom
Amaretto's Potato skins.....nom nom nom nom

For some reason, all of them places are on the Sapphire X21 route, and have a stop right next to them! Makes it easier for me to eat some of my favourite nom noms, with comfort on either side! Big Grin
RE: Food
Weatherspoons Mexican Dogs are nice. For those not familiar with Weatherspoons bait, it's basically a massive hot dog, with guacamole, fresh chillis and cheese on it.

The Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches aren't bad either!

RE: Food
Apologies.

I apologise of the last hour, if your disappointed about not getting a slice. Tough.

The last hour has been the best of my life, eating an entire 10" margarita pizza with a reasonable amount of chips.

Also, the 1.75l bottle of Cherry Coke? That no longer exists.

I again apologise for starving the members of NEB.

RE: Food
Had a Papa Johns last night, and I have to say it was much better than Dominos and Pizza Hut, especially the Pulled Pork Pizza.

Would highly recommend it.

Have always preferred Papa Johns to any of the other chains.
There isn't many of then about though.

Roast Beef dinner for me today though. All homemade by my fair hands, with a dollop of help from Aunt Bessie.

Aye, the chicken is really good too.
Nearest one to be is Whitley Bay, but if I ring up they usually deliver.

Have you not seen the size of the burgers you get at those places? Huge!
They make a Big Mac look like a kids happy meal burger.

Aye, you have to these days. I got a stacker burger yesterday from a pub, and I had no choice but to use a knife and fork!

This line made me laugh when reading

Eat there at lunchtime and you'll spend the rest of the day feeling as if you're incubating an immense, spherical beef-baby. And caesarean delivery sadly isn't an option. Before bedtime, you'll understand how it might feel to give birth to a banister

Aye, even some of the chain pubs do huge ones. A few burgers (that are a few centimeters thick), a stack of onion rings, cheese, bacon, buns and usually a giant wooden stick holding them together.
