Both appeared to last the whole day, rather than being swapped over at the earliest opportunity. 1517 was the (alleged) 16.46 #56 out of Durham, and 1595 was on the #57A, that arrives into Durham at 18.15.

I managed a shot of the former.

When we caught it to Hartlepool on the 57a, this morning (nice route, it turns out!) there was an older lady sat near us who had to mention several times that "we've got the posh bus today!"

I can see why solos are more usual. Not because of number of passengers, as this one got half full, but there's a couple of places where it struggled to get around bends and parked cars!

And 1438 is the 0950 X93
1801 was on 35B this morning. Replaced 1761 on 57 later, 7533 (which has steering problems) was then allocated onto 35B.
1916 on 7s
Sapphire Pulsar on the X12
Frequenta Solo on X66, 2850? (With four Omnicities)
4707 on 4/X4 and a decker on 22/64/64A (too far away to ID)

It'll be on 64/64a - reduced frequency on there on Saturdays means the 22 is stand alone (same as Stockton's 9 and 27/27a run separate today)

Two 748x on 64/64A.
Not exactly a rare/odd working but 4659 will be operating AN20 tonight.

One from last night...

Just wait until the roadworks start at Norham Road, Billy Mill and of course the Silverlink interchange, the allocations will all go to pot at Blyth.

Aren't Blyth's allocations like that anyway?

Oh give that up already. Try being in the shoes of the person doing ridiculous shifts. As long its a bus and is suitable for the route its a minor problem if the wrong branded bus turns up.
Blyth's buses should be plainly branded - just MAX, not MAX X10/X11 especially with the X6/7/8 being MAXed shortly.

That's what I heard. There's going to be generic X7/8/9/10/11 branding supposedly.

That would make me happy. Now if that goes ahead my attention is turned to the B5LH's appearing on other routes.

Yes I believe that is the plan. Will give them the flexibility to diagram the buses tailored to the loadings on individual services

Darlington need to rebrand there scanias as I think they would benefit from a generic brand as there scanias appear all over the place

My biggest gripe with the MAX Omnicity's at Darlington is generic MAX branded 4643/4644/4650 now say "up to every 15 minutes" which I feel is a bit misleading especially as they are mainly used on the X26/X27 which has a combined 20 minute frequency. Think MAX Omnicitys appearing elsewhere at Darlington will get worse once the X75/X76 go MAX.
