Rare, that should be a solar
Very impressed with the indiGo solos - Wi-Fi and NSAs are perfect and the interiors as usual are very smart.

We've just been through cobalt and 2 people nearly missed the bus because they didn't recognise it and both commented on how posh they were and an massive improvement to the MPDs.
Coming back from MetroCentre this afternoon at about quarter to four saw what I think was 3963 on derwenthaugh bridge being towed by a recovery vehicle heading towards riverside
Seen 3888 on a tow truck this afternoon heading up norham road away from percy main. Wheres it going?
There was a yellow/blue MPD on the 16:35 687 from Hexham to Corbridge today.

That was pretty much the response when we got them here, replacing the scruffy East Durham MPDs.
A few teething problems with the Solos today, 672 was taken out of service with defective bells and some drivers were not used to applying the handbrake before opening the doors.
But all in all they are great vehicles, Though theres something different mechanical wise about them compared to the Tynedale Links Solos.

Glad you mentioned that there is something different mechanical wise about them as I thought it was just me. Hard to describe what the engine sounded like but it was deffo different on 673 too.

The Turbocharger is a lot higher pitched on the Indigo Solos for some reason ( The whistley sound ) Also the Engine itself is also more " Heard "
Though I'm not sure what causes it.

I'd be screaming as loud and as high-pitched as I could if I was based in Percy Main too...
