it is most certainly not a professional thing to be doing driving whilst having headphones in
YT51EAW has now lost it's Bellwood & Harris advert and Scarlet Band vinyl's and was unusually operating services 110/111/112 today.

Sorry about the poor quality photo.

Nothing wrong with the photo Jimmi. It's about time it lost the advert, it was starting to look rather tired.

Yeah it's not the best hence why it isn't on my Flickr, couldn't get anywhere else to get a better photo.

Not sure what the deal is with this bus now especially as well as loosing the advert it has also lost the Scarlet Band names too so I am wondering if it may be leaving the fleet soon or getting a repaint or running in service like this. It is weird as this hasn't been on the 16/16A the last two days with an ex Rossendale Solo operating the service today.

The advert looked tired and worn weeks after being applied and the Solo itself doesn't sound that good either.

The way it is constantly driven at Mach 3 around Darlington it's amazing it's lasted as long!

Should hear it go over the cobbles heading onto Feethams, shakes and rattles galore, sounds like it is going to drop to pieces [emoji1]

Should also hear it go down the A68 past Burtree Gate on the 16A it's so loud!

It just shows the strength and the build quality of a Solo!

The advert on the bus shelter might not be appropriate on your Flickr either. Wink
Just seen a newer solo painted in bright pink knocking around Darlington a couple of minutes ago. It certainly wasn't YT51EAW..

I was hoping to show you a photo of the bus at this point but it turned up over 10 minutes late and the driver missed out the whole of the route through Newton Aycliffe so because of this I have no photo and all I can say is that it is a pink Solo with no advert [emoji35]

Thanks again for the driver for failing to do the route for Newton Aycliffe and wasting half an hour of my life in the freezing cold [emoji35] [emoji35] [emoji35]

Must be the same one who misses out Faverdale.

Yep. The 16/16A always has the same driver and always misses Faverdale High Grange out, have also seen him miss out West Park and Heighington on occasions and parts of Newton Aycliffe, tonight it came down School Aycliffe Lane over 10 minutes late and instead of turning left to head towards the train station he turned right effectively missing pretty much the whole of Newton Aycliffe out. Was probably sat at the stop at Faverdale where the Argos place is for too long for racking up this delay.

I was really not amused this happened as I was out for over half an hour in the freezing cold near the Oak Leaf Sports Complex, I would have waited closer to home but he often changes the screen to not in service before he gets round my way.

I know no-one ever gets on the 16A after the council offices just outside School Aycliffe but stops should not be getting missed out, he also drove past me one morning when I wanted to get on it too.

I will now have to go all the way to Darlington to get a photo thanks to this happening [emoji35]
The new Pink solo is on 16 today with the usual driver, I was too far away to see the reg, but I think it may be one of their 55 reg Solos

Dammit! Only one letter out. Good pic though Jimmi!

YT51EAW is apparently no longer part of the Scarlet Band fleet.
YJ64DXR is now branded for Durham Park and Ride.

...about time...
At least two Solo SR's now have Durham Park and Ride branding although the two I saw both had different designs.

I like that first one, mind!

Yeah I quite like the first one too.

Doubt Greg in Weardale will like the second one [emoji1]
DXR looks too plain compared to the first one. Doesn't look as smart for that reason imo.

Hmm. I would like to vote for the lad when it opens because he is from Stanley but i much prefer the livery on the left. Suppose i have a few days to think.

God you are making this sound like your voting for someone in X Factor just because they are from the same area as you.

Much prefer the livery on the left as I think it suits the bus really well and I liked it as soon as I first saw it this morning and is certainly eye catching while the other one I wasn't as keen on as I think it looks a bit plain.
I'm going to be controversial, I like the dotty one, less is more!
I like DYH. Looks more modern than the other one.
I'll do my best to keep an eye on where the two branded examples are running next week, and drop a note on here if/when/where I see them.
