It has been confirmed that R6 STX will be leaving the fleet during the summer period. R7 STX will remain in the fleet to act as a spare for K2 STX and any other scholars route operated by the company.
I know that it has been stated already but just an update: The Electric Solos will NOT be returning for the Cathedral Bus - the vehicle charging points were removed from the depot last week.
The first Optare Solo SR 7.2m funded for by Durham County Council arrived at Stanley Travel today. It is KX15 BLZ and will be used on the Cathedral Bus services in Durham. They are the permanent replacements to the electric solos and will transfer from operator to operator as the contract moves operators. Another 2 are to follow.
ALX400 S5 STX (V146 LGC) has been repainted into the full Stanley Travel livery.
I assume KX15 BLZ was out in service today as it wasn't in the depot tonight (nor was it in the garage having work done) - it got a Stanley Travel logo placed on the front and a Durham City Taxis logo placed in the bottom left corner yesterday.

They tweeted a picture of it earlier. Called it their 'mini Solo' (or something like that).

They did indeed. For those who missed it:
Mercedes Vario/Plaxton Cheetah 4004 (YN13 CGO) is now T2 STX, The registration worn by Mercedes Sprinter 411CDi/UVG W841 VHB which has left the fleet.
Volvo B12B Plaxton Panther 5013 (G2 STX) has been reregistered back to its original registration of YN07 DVO as it will be leaving the fleet in the coming weeks.
Sedgeletch Road is going to be closed for a couple of months - saw the sign for it earlier.
It will affect the 452 and 968 massively.
is Optare Solo YJ11OJK still with stanley travel

KX15 BLZ is on hire from Dawson's only while a solution is sort to the problems with the 3 electric solos.
no confirmation yet as to if the EV's will be upgraded or replaced with new model EV's or other low emission vehicles.
3 charging points were very much on the wall at 9am this morning

That will be for the Sedgletch Road closure.
Surprised to see no mention of the 452 or GNE 453 on there mind.

No, following the arrival of KX15 BLZ, it has left the fleet.
Wouldnt be surprised if this has been purchased to replace TX63 STX which was withdrawn after being involved in an RTA.
The 15 reg Solo SR is currently on the 23.

Almost every thing in Buses is BS! Arriva 7609 is apparently an Enviro400!

At a guess Durham CC will have ordered 2 diesel ones and Stanley will operate them, however they currently have a demo/loan bus to cover until they arrive.
KX15 BLZ was apparently one of the vehicles ordered. However, judging by no others arriving, it is just a loan.
KX15 BLZ was a nice ride, but the headrests are like scaffolding and I thought that we were going to crash into shops due to it being wider than the street. DCC and ST need Slimline versions of the Solo, if they already haven't got one.

ON02 STX and E3 STX are both Slimlines. I was under the impression that KX15 was too.
Hi guys. I am new here and use Stanley Travel to get to school and back everyday. Can I help with anything here?
