It was on the 968/452 run. No idea what it is on (if it is) during the day though.

I have a feeling it goes like this 968/452/23/939 Short to Concord/968

I was told that it was to be mainly used on services 706/707/708 but has seemed to appear on everything but those services. So you could be right there.

Don't forget the afternoon 452 that runs onto the 968.
I saw it a while back coming down from Stanley, heading to Houghton to do a 452 - but things may have changed since then

Would have to look at the Timetables for those Services I noted, But I think that is indeed the Board which it Runs for the Day, But I could be wrong, I know the Short 939 Interworks with the 968 as I seen the 939 in Concord on Monday Evening, and the Driver changed the Blind to 968 before heading towards Waterview Park,
For reference demo is YX62 EEY

Appeared on 23 again today

It also spent a week at Weardale last month.

That's the one! Carries the Stanley fleetname on an A4 piece of paper on the nearside window via door.

Here are the timetables - see if you can make them work.

(the 8.24 from Barley Mow/Vigo Bridge is a Pheonix. You will be able to work the STX from there).

Not sure what went wrong today but a whole hour of ops was missed out today on the 23 by Phoenix and Stanley.

One of my underlings called in late, so I checked with Nexus (hey the kids got a reputation for dodging work!) and they confirmed the 13:06, 36 and 14:06 from Birtley didn't op but didn't give a reason why

Hadn't noticed it was pointed out by Flickr User golfsierra999, that YX62 EEY Destination Display is Incorrect as reads 23 Balrey Mow Estate instead of 23 Barley Mow Estate, Perhaps someone should point this out to Stanley Travel.

I heard that the Pheonix bus had broke down but im not sure about the Stanley runs that didnt operate.

Difficult for Phoenix to resolve that one I guess considering Blyth to Birtley makes sending a replacement nigh in impossible unless they ran the taxi bus that operates as driver changeover but that probably breaches contract

Could your underling not walk to another stop to get another bus?

This was suggested in the return to work interview...
The Enviro was in Durham earlier. Saw it displaying the 40a, whilst it was scooting off down the side of Leazes Bridge.
O003 STX on the 968.

Saw the 79 from a distance and it looked like the vehicle normally on the 37 was working it today.
No idea what had been on the 37.

It's been on the 40 again most of the day.

i thought the Solos where for the 40 wont they lose the contract for using other buses on it

The Solos were collected today so I can only suggest that they have been taken for scrap or repair with the first suggestion seeming the most likely for me.

fair enough so i wonder if they been scrapped what will they get to replace them

They will be going for repair - at 4 and a bit years old their book value to the council will be too high to scrap plus I can't see the DfT being too pleased to see vehicles they part-funded going for scrap this soon.
Wouldn't be surprised if they just get abandoned in a council depot somewhere
After seeing the Nexus MPD on the 968 and 452 this morning, I was surprised to see it coming off Claypath and onto Leazes Bridge at about 9.10...

Can anyone confirm if it worked a 40 today or was it just passing through?
Stanley Travel have what i can only suggest is another demonstrator or loan to cover for the bus missing off the 40 to cover Y40 STX. Its a 60 reg Wright Streetlite (shortest version) for the Cathedral Bus services.
Unidentified Wright Streetlite on the 968 to Easington Lane Tonight, Seen it in passing on the 2C at Shiney Row, This example is to same specification Go North East on trial a few years ago on the 34/34A.

60 reg as stated in the post above made by me. Apparently to see main use on services 40 and 40A.

The optare solo aqquired from Stuarts Coaches in Scotland is currently away for a repaint into the Stanley Travel livery and when it returns will gain a personalised registration and E3 STX seems the most likely.
T2 STX was working the 706/707 circular today.

Using that vehicle actually gives the impression that the bus has a decent loading.

I guess perception is everything!
