Rattle Free Streetlites
Rattle Free Streetlites
(25 Nov 2021, 8:52 pm)streetdeckfan That's just a standard Streetlite, they've been like that since new.Which ones have been "fixed"
I wonder if they're going to continue modifying the rest of them, as the ones that have been 'fixed' really are a joy to ride

(25 Nov 2021, 10:53 pm)idiot They shouldn't be advertised then. Even tried the USB port hoping that it would charge more than 2% on the 20 min journey but that didn't work either

(26 Nov 2021, 1:38 pm)Jimmi Incredibly poor that it is considered to be a standard expectation from a vehicle type and from my experiences it is quite common especially on the Daimler engined examples. When i got on the streetlites especially the 63' plates the rattles, like you say the emergency exit. But then you also have the engine which sounds awful like it is being ploughed into the ground
It doesn't go unnoticed by general passengers either, remember getting on one of Arriva's on the 22 once and passengers were all looking towards the emergency exit door wondering what the horrific racket was.
I try to dodge them whenever I'm able to.

I mean, I may have complained that Sunderland lost it's Euro 6 buses, but I definitely don't miss those Daimler engined Streetlites now they've gone. Quite nice doing a 2 or a 39 now in relative peace and quiet.

(25 Nov 2021, 10:44 am)ne14ne1 Jesus that is horrendous. I thought it was bad enough while on the move but once it stops and idles, my god!

I've been on a few Coaster Streetlites today and they've all been rattle free. In fact, they were smoother than the e200 I'm on now

I wish the Streetlite I was on today was a bit quieter. Purple Prince Bishops branded Service 20. It wasn't half rattling, particularly the fire door. Noticed this seems to be a common problem with Steetlites in general. The ones Arriva use are worse still. Got to be my least favourite model.
