I hope it's not going to be on the Lime routes long. Well not if Deptford want it back in one piece. Guess it'll be interesting to see the suitability results all the same though..

Can't see it's 4.5 Litre Engine surviving on there long at all, Probably need sending back to Wrightbus to be re-engined before returning to Deptford, New Citaro is the way forward I have to say, despite how much it costs.

Agreed! I think GNE will shell out the extra for power like what they did with the B9TL.

The difference is that the Volvo B9TLs in the fleet will probably have to stay on the routes for which they were ordered for, for quite a few years before being cascaded, to pay off the majority of the vehicle cost prior to cascading to services which aren't as profitable.

If cheaper vehicles are ordered for a profitable route, it means that another order will probably go in in 2-3 years time to replace them. GNE will then be able to justify the capital expenditure to Go-Ahead because the service should have seen growth and it means that another (set of) service(s) benefits from 2-3 year old Versas.

The Citylink springs to mind...

WHERE is the Haymarket bus stop for the Q2?

I cannot find it on the timetable or on Googlemap.

Is it within the Haymarket bus station?

Are there any other routes that serve the Quayside from Eldon Square/Haymarket?

The Q2 stops at the last (operational) stand in Haymarket, which is closest to the Metro Station.

The only other service which goes down to the Quayside is the City Sightseeing service.

I'd take a B10BLE or a Citaro over a Omnicity anyday.

I'd agree totally, B10s are lovely to drive even the R reg examples. Omnicities are a pain. Doors must be closed to lower the bus, buses will not drop when the doors have been opened without the button being pressed first, upon releasing the handbrake there is a delay before the bus will move. Not good on time tight routes.

What time was this?

50s have been serverly affected by the traffic problems along picktree lane, most journeys have been diverted via barley mow this week. Holefully daytime journeys should return to normal with the A693 road from northlands to A1M roundabout reopening this monday.

This was the journey due to arrive in Durham at 1602.
