Unfortunately, Go North East did not provide a Fleet Allocation update today to provide confirmation of new arrivals.

However, details have submerged on the public domain on old photographs of Brighton & Hove's Scania N94UD/East Lancs Omnidekka 607 (GX03 SUH) and 612 (GX03 SVC) which were recently uploaded to Flickr. Discussion on the comments reveal that these vehicles were sighted near Luton on the M1, during Saturday night. These examples were reported on the photographs as due for delivery to Go North East.

The Brighton & Hove fleet list confirm that 4 Omnidekkas have been sold to 'Go-Ahead North East'. This is 607 (GX03 SUH), 608 (GX03 SUU), 609 (GX03 SUV) & 612 (GX03 SVC). It doesn't show any more being sold at the moment.

It would mainly be for scholars work. No reason why they shouldnt be able to either i would have thought. We'll just have to wait and see - i would like to see a couple come to Stanley though.

15/15a??

Other Double decker routes needing upgrades x21 - x30/x31/x70/x71

Guess the business case doesn't stack up for any of the above routes to gain new stock hence the cancelled volvos a few years back for the west Durham swifts.

It might just be me that thinks this but:

I feel Go North East have improved the general appearance of the inside of buses recently. Old posters/info are being removed etc (Apart from some of Washington's Presidents which still have 'Angel' plastered all over them). They look a lot less tatty but if any bus was to be improved inside it should be Chester's Solars

Will the non-DDA Tridents not go on scholars at Stanley with the Omnnidekkas going on main service work?

DDA presidents appear on scholars services every day along with olympians and lolynes so they would be both. Would definitley place the lolynes into more of a back seat role

10 X Scania Omnidekka (one spare) for Services X30/X31/X70/X71 - branded.
Tridents will move onto Scholars, Olympians withdrawn. 5250/53/54/73 to Riverside for ''Fab-Fifty-Seven''. B10BLE's 5167-5170 withdrawn.

8 X Scania Omnidekka (one spare) for Pronto service X21 - branded.

Tridents withdrawn from Percy Main.

14 X B5LH (on spare) for Crusader service 27.
5310-5317 to Deptford for ''Fast Cats'' X35, one spare. 4955/4973-6/5205-7 for Percy Main 17, replacing 5151-5158 to be withdrawn.
5318-19 and 5328-30 for ''Tynedalexpress'' X84/X85, 5229-5233 for ''The Waggonway'', 4956-4957 to Percy Main (one for 17) replacing 5159 and 5165 to be withdrawn. 4958-4960 are allocated elsewhere to replace B10BLE's.

5 X Wright Solar Eclipse for 9. (cascaded from Toon Link)
5248/5249 transfer to Riverside to make up the 57 PVR, and one as a spare for both ''Toon Link'' and ''Fab-Fifty-Seven''.

Having a bit think if Deckers are Purchased for the 27, and I reckon this may occur.

Mercedes Citaros 5310-5319 will replace 4932/33/38/40/41/47/48/67 and 5218/27/28 on The Highwayman, With the latter going into Corporate Livery, Then Mercedes Citaros 5320-5324 and 5328-30 will replace 5219-5226 on The Loop, With the latter going into Corporate Livery, Mercedes Citaro 5332 would act as spare for both The Highwayman/Loop.

It's great what they're doing but they should also get one of 7410 - 7420 from around the country and put one back into N.M.S colours as delivered in May 97. In fact, they could even have them side by side with the N.M.S one displaying '306 TYNEMOUTH' and the Go Coastline one displaying '308 Blyth' as 3833 did operate at Percy Main  depot on that route in around 99/00.

The Volvo B9TLs aren't brand new, remember, they're dealer stock. Most dealer stock vehicles are painted white and it's then the responsibility of the bus operator who buys them to paint them.

The other two have already been painted red and are currently in storage around the side whilst being prepared for service. White destinations fully set up - just the little square at the back (like older B9s in the fleet), rather than the full size rear.
