6039 is currently at Saltmeadows for repaint into Go North East's corporate livery.
6008/32 now have front LED destinations.

Red 5229 on 680 to Bellingham through Hexham Railway station @ 13:11.
Yellow 5210 on x85 from Newcastle arrived Hexham 25 (?) minutes late and withdrawn from service.
14:02 X84 'didn't run' (despite several passengers for Ovingham waiting, and also despite there being a 'spare' Tynedale Express vehicle parked up at the top of the bus station.
The spare driver who was standing waiting to take over the X85/X84 @ 13:55 'disappeared' . . .
I can understand regulating and withdrawing a bus that was so late that it couldn't catch up (the X84 alternates with the X85), but why not dispatch the 'spare'?

Anyway, great to see more proper B10s coming to Percy Main, hopefully it'll get rid of the crap dual door ones (5154, 5156, 5159 etc.)

No doubt they'll mostly be on the 9 anyway, with the B7s on the 17 as usual.

Should put the B7s on there, but I guess they don't want to risk it after what happened in Percy Main with 3874. Shouldn't really be an issue though if the driver paid attention to the low bridge.

(15 Sep 2015, 2:06 pm)Diamond One The odd ominicity usually creeps up on 9 I usually have a nice ride on them when I travel to Sunderland I thought the bus that was involved in the accident was 3870 I'm sure somebody said a while back I used to like 3874 during its Deptford days lovely ride the 3 spares 3801, 3873 and 3874 usually they would end up on the morrisons 9 used to enjoy them rides better than the darts in them days lovely and belter views

The 9 is great when it's a double decker, especially through the tunnel. Shame there is no Lolynes left at Percy Main now - apart from 3866/3867, and I think 3859 is still hanging on.

X85 heading towards Hexham was running 20+ minutes late through Corbridge around 3pm, however the X84 heading towards Newcastle appeared soon after - probably on time (had they employed the 'spare' as the X85 bus I saw would have become the X84?).
Apparently there are roadworks on the main road into Newcastle with temporary traffic lights causing significant delays (according to a passenger).
