Just hope that everyone isn't waiting until Saturday, don't fancy the thought of loads of enthusiast's being stood at the same place at the same time, especially at Hexham where there isn't a great deal of places to stand around the bus station, was bad enough having one being in Eldon Square at the same time as me this evening.

Was ashamed to be on the same bus as them!
(23 Mar 2016, 10:54 pm)South Tyne Lad wrote My plan is to ride the AD122 on Saturday and do the 681 and X81 to Hexham on the return. Sure is a interesting few weeks coming for photographsWhich AD122 are you getting? I'm getting the 11:10 from Hexham where I will be able to snap the AD122, 185, 682 and 685 within the 40 odd minutes I'm in Haltwhistle.

I'm planning to have 2 hours in Hexham for photographs from 13:00 to 15:10

I've photographed the Virgin Trains East Coast 'Flying Scotsman' twice in just over a week. Tomorrow I am thinking of uploading a photo of it to my Flickr but I am confused as to what to title it as because in my two photos it's showing the number 82205 down the side I've photographed it from, so do I put the title as 82205, 91101 or both?
(17 Apr 2016, 12:55 pm)citaro5284 wrote So 82205 is the DVT with no engine in it, as opposed to 91101 which has the engine in it.
Normally heading to London the 82xxx is at the front and Scotland bound have the 91xxx at the front. So heading south the train is getting pushed and to Scotland it is getting pulled[emoji14]
(19 Apr 2016, 8:42 pm)Jimmi wrote Me and my camera haven't co-operated at all today, various photos have not turned out well at all, many of them have been blurry, the camera has focused instead of taking the shot at times and on the photo of the Coast and Country on the 265 the colour came out distorted.
I am extremely angry about this and things have not been going well recently and it's causing me more stress than joy these days, not helped by the fact I now have to guess shutter speeds and stuff to catch the destination screens and have to ensure the photo doesn't come out blurry and usually fail at achieving this.
I honestly don't know what to do anymore and things seem to just be getting worse and I'm now at the stage where I feel it's a waste of time trying different stuff such as scenic shots as chances are it won't turn out and I don't want to be wasting my time with it.
Anyone got any suggestions or advice as I'm about ready to smash the camera the mood I've been in with it recently.
(19 Apr 2016, 9:29 pm)BusLoverMum wrote I'd suggest, if you're going for largely one off scenic shots, it might be worth using the automatic settings more often. You might not get the best photos, but they're less likely to fail completely, so long as you're not contending with difficult lighting conditions or very fast stretches of road.
The time to play with your manual settings and become re-acquainted, if you're finding yourself getting it wrong frequently, would be somewhere boring and predictable - even North Road roundabout! The point being that you can keep playing about and experimenting to find out what really works and what doesn't - the worst outcome here is that, by experimenting, you've fouled up half a dozen workaday shots of the 20/20A rather than that once in a blue moon drifter trundling through Wingate on the X7.
