It will be renumbered 135/136 depending upon which direction it is travelling.  The service is secured by Nexus.

The 135/136 already run so i take it NEXUS are changing the current routes on them or just allowing them to run during the day, on the same routes as now?

There are only a few journeys on a morning Monday - Saturday only.  It is only what I've been told.

That's good, least those who use the 99A can still get to the city centre early.

GNE have confirmed this on their official changes:

Service 99
  • Due to low customer use, service 99 will be withdrawn with the last day of operation on 21 May 2016.

  • Many customers will be able to continue to make their journey on alternative services – for example, from Castletown to Sunderland Royal Hospital on service 35.

  • Early morning journeys which operate as service 99A will continue to run, but will be renumbered 135/136.

No - it wasn't supposed to be entering service today. See this post.

It transferred to Washington at about 11am. I'd expect it would about two days to get through familiarisation with Washington's drivers.

Don't think any will be out tomorrow, now.

Few more things that need to be sorted before they can go out on the road, and I think there's still some drivers which haven't received familiarisation.

Just left galleries on 82A heading towards Birtley. Looks better in real life. Still the the Streetlite has a nicer rear end

Could be to standardise batches of Scania's on different Depots, 53s at Percy Main, 54s at Deptford and Earlier Examples at Riverside for their route requirements.
Though Riverside will continue to have all Tachographed examples, Which include 4967 from the 53 reg batch and 5227/5228 from the 54 reg batch.

It could be also with 4968-4976 rumoured to be going Blue (couple already done) going to Percy Main meaning Deptford will lose some 53 reg Scania's.

Hopefully they are standardising batches of Scania's.

Deptford will loose all 53 Reg Scania's if all of them are repainted, With Percy Main having only 53 Reg Scania's and Deptford having 54 Reg's ( for branded routes )

Could also be to do with the mechanical side of them too, Most notably is that the 53 Reg batch have a different Gearbox to the 54s. Doubt it is though.

Should improve the quality of the service there operating too, The Prince Bishops had branded vehicles all the way from 2001 to Late 2004 on it, Similar to the Fast Cats which had Scania's from 2002 to 2004 on it.

Sorry if I don't make sense, I didn't know how to explain it.

Hopefully with the Scania's starting to become oldish, hopefully the ones which go "Go North East" aren't put on demanding routes.

Least they should be replacing the Cadets and Duel Door B10's in the fleet.
