Old Durham Rd may be a better option

Dryden road links Durham road directly to kells lane. It would have to pass the other end of Beaconsfield road whether it accessed it from dryden road or old Durham road and would serve low fell better going te dryden road way.

If the frequency on the 57 was increased to every 15 minutes, then the PVR would be 10, meaning all 5 Silver Citaro's would be repainted.

Think pvr of 57 will be 8, as it takes an hour to get from NCL-H Pk-NCL.

Think 58 pvr will also be 8 (5377-84), which would allow 5385-88 go red.

4 of 5385-90 could then be used on 67/69.

I reckon that new service 33/33A will use 2 red versa, and 13 will use the spare solo(from 68).

I would like to see 5320-24 branded as Crusader, allowing 5310/11/12 to go Citylink blue, and 5313/14 red.

Interestingly, at present the 33a weekdays uses the vehicle off the 13 under Arriva. So, unless that changes, it will likely be a Solo on the 33A under Go North East.

As for the 33, I don't think it needs anything larger than a Solo myself judging by the loadings everytime I've seen it.

It's a separate contract so there will be no obligation for those two services to interwork. Go North East may be able to make their duties more efficient than what Arriva have done up to now.

I think the 33 is more likely to be allocated a minibus than a midibus/full size single deck.

If you look at the date, the split commences from the 6th June - the same date as the start of the bridge closure at Hexham.

My guess is, due to the diversion towards the West End of Hexham then back via the A69 to Bridge End roundabout (a detour of approx 4-5 miles), the service may need a tachograph due to the added mileage thus the split. I don't think it will be a long-term thing, just for the duration of the closure.

Any news on whether or not the evening 309 / 310s have gone up in frequency or will remain hourly (half hourly between Shields and Cobalt South)?

I think the 33 is more likely to be allocated a minibus than a midibus/full size single deck.
