(17 Nov 2016, 1:13 am)stagecoachbusdepot Wonder why it didnt get the new logo?

I wonder if there is existing stock to be used?

A third party company applied to the vinyls to the Cinderella Bus, but Saltmeadows Road apply company logos, fleet numbers, legals etc after a repaint.

The obvious difference is that Saltmeadows Road will have to keep a stock of all the old logos, but the third party company will only keep stocked for work that they know is coming up/outstanding.

In an effort to recruit more professional coach drivers, Go North East has changed its ‘essential experience criteria’ to attract more people to apply for 15 new jobs.

Previously, anyone interested in becoming a coach driver was required to have professional driving experience and a PCV license to be considered, but this is no longer the case.

Go North East - which operates several UK-wide coach services on behalf of National Express - is currently recruiting for 15 coach drivers and now welcomes applications from experienced car drivers.

National Express will provide Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) licence training to successful candidates, as well as additional company training.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have customer service experience and must have held a full UK or EU/EEA driving licence for at least two years.

(17 Nov 2016, 4:54 am)Dan I wonder if there is existing stock to be used?

Was there no instruction to destroy old stock when the new logo was released?

Having lived through a couple of re-brands myself, I've always received a updated branding guidelines policy, which generally covers destroying any stationary with the old logo, replacing email signatures, letterheads, etc.

WRT 'old' logos, unless the old logo is wrong (ie if a company takeover has changed the name) or an edict has been issued that alll logos must be replaced by a certain date, I see no need.
*
*Besides, the old GNE logo isn't a bad one.
*
*If it ain't broke don't fix it . . .

But at the same time, if they introduce a new logo, surely they should focus on rolling that one out across the fleet rather than sending vehicles out with old logos after the new logo has been introduced just to use them all up.

I'm not saying that the new logo should be rolled out to all vehicles quickly but i'd suggest each new vehicle/repaint should have the most up to date vinyls applied.

Contraband - I like it! Ha ha

I've got a box full of branded pens that can't be issued, as they have an old variation of the company logo on them. On the plus side, at least I'm not going to run out of ink!

They've already fixed it - a new logo has been launched. Why spend all that money on someone to design it, if you aren't going to use it, for the sake of a couple of quid worth of old stock?

Maybe not, but I'd of course be all ears to hear why any company would design a new logo, in order to continue using the previous one!

I doubt anyone on this forum is able to confirm an answer to that question - but clearly it is a decision that has been made by the company and there will be a reason for it.

(17 Nov 2016, 2:18 pm)dannygee 3867 has been bought by Gateshead central taxis. Wonder what to use on?

If it has indeed been bought they'll have to Modify the saloon to meet DDA Regs before it can see long term service past December 31st, Unless it'll be confined to Private Hires.
