It's never change at Birtley Crem every time I've been on it. Always on Elisabeth Avenue

My dad works for ST and whenever he does the 23 mealbreak the change is always at Birtley Crem. I don't know about other times though.

To be fair, they're not miles away from each other.

Windsor Road is the one that runs east/west off Durham Road and runs paralell to the crem in the bottom half of the road.
Elisabeth Avenue runs north/south at a mini-roundabout/junction with Windsor Road, just outside the crem.

That's true, I can see why they call it Birtley Crem but its about a 5 minute walk away.

Good to hear more investment going in to the fleet! Will be interesting to see if they go with Van Hool again or back to Volvo/Plaxton

I bet its a tight squeeze getting it into the depot! It amazes me how the driver of the 23 can turn left into the yard without scraping the wall!

Yes I bet it is too! Last I heard they were looking for a new (bigger) depot but obviously not signed anything yet.

RE: Stanley Travel
Can anyone clarify something for me.

There is a garage/petrol station just by the Stanley Coaches depot.

Nothing out of the ordinary, except for the building which is there.
On the second floor, where there would normally be a window - there is a UPVC door, that opens up onto a 20ft drop.
It would make a great emergency exit, if there were stairs attached.

Has anyone else seen it or know the story behind the door?

Living in Stanley myself I think I know where you mean. Now its been brought up I understand as before it just went straight over my head. I'm sure it would, especially with the amount of fires in Stanley lately Tongue

If you are coming towards Stanley from Oxhill direction it will be on your right hand side -
Think the garage is labled 'spot'.

Saw this for the first time since it's crash this morning on the 968. Decent repair job, would never have been able to tell it had been in an accident.

Good to see it back out on the road, still don't know if the driver got fired for it. I can remember when it was still in its previous fleet livery and it had 2 registration plates attatched to the rear. Just a weird fact for you Tongue

I've now seen this twice through Birtley and both times its been coming up Windsor Road at about 14.40 which suggests thats when the Olmypian does the driver change
