surprised it hasnt been changed on bustimes tho

Why good?
They have the most unstable network in the region. What’s to say the PVR won’t reduce in a month or two?
Is what passengers really need at the moment for it to be orange rather than red?
Now it’s restricted on where it can be moved.

I can only assume that GNE see the 56 as one of the services it will still be running when it has drivers.
There are probably plenty of their services that they won't want to run even when they have drivers.

I forsee Gateshead Central on a recruitment drive to staff all the extra Nexus and Durham tenders that they win as GNE cut back.

If it was painted in house, then the expenditure would have been minimal, the cost of paint is minuscule compared to the cost of the labour.
And if they aren't striking, then it gives them something to do instead of sitting around.

Plenty of money for drivers, the 10.3% offered is a far bigger increase than most people will receive this year - I doubt many of the passengers who travel on the buses will receive anything like a 10.3% pay increase.

Sorry I don’t have that level of knowledge but I’m sure one of the other guys will be along to answer shortly.

I'll be waiting Roger French's comments on that, as the covering on the back 4 windows downstairs is horrific, but no doubt it'll be ignored because of the company.

I'm not even going to waste my time on the content and the website, who they going for, complete morons...?

Wonder what the old go-to design studio thinks about it? Silence or comments full of bitterness on their twitter?

Probably radio silence, mind it probably deserves their criticism. It looks like they're trying to advertise joining the army, and ironically that advertising is 'really working'.

I just visited that daft web address they’ve put on the side of that bus to see what site it lands on - Go North West’s recruitment page which highlights the hourly rates you could be earning in Manchester. What a shambles.

Why would Arriva or Stagecoach get slated?

Surely, a recruitment campaign is needed at anytime, I dont see the connection between drivers on strike and looking for new recruits

No they dont get slated for everything - fire away with a list of what Stagecoach and Arriva have been slated for recently as I am struggling

Services, State of the buses. List can go on. But I'll let your imagine run wild. Just making a point so I'll wait for the slate Smile

The point of a forum is discussion and debate, but the danger of flippant remarks is that you'll get called out on them.

I don't know if you've seen the strike thread, but I think that would suggest GNE gets more of a pasting than most on here. Especially at the moment.

I'm enjoying the strike debate Smile
RE: Upcoming Repaints
This forum has always had bias towards GNE. It's nothing new, if anything it's not half as bad as it used to be. Felt like someone would lose their left leg so the GoAhead shareholders could take more money a few year back.
