Rekorderlig cider. The Strawberry & Lime, and the Passionfruit varieties are bloody lovely. 3 for £5 in Sainsbury's at the moment too.

Going to Church made me feel good, have not been happier in the last 6 months than at any point in my life add to that I watched 2 of my friends getting baptised...overall a good day

Having a grand day out with mates at the Kirkby Stephen rally. Thanks to John Atkin for driving us across in the Condor and Stu Gray for organising said trip! I had a great day, riding on some vehicles from my youth and others that I've not had chance to ride on before, like a Leyland Lion (or if certain people are looking... "Old bus") and an MCW Metrorider! Nice way to end that day was a quick ride on Lee Garrett's superb Metrobus UTN501Y too, that bus is spot on and superbly restored.
I'm sure Dan will agree a good day was had by all.

I would have went, and probably enjoyed it, but would have looked stupid being way younger than everyone else.

Yes, it was a great day out. The Condor was arguably equally as loud downstairs as it was upstairs - though the sources of sound were completely different!
May I extend my thanks to Stu for organising the trip, and of course to John for driving. Special thanks to John for dropping me off at Bishop Auckland Bus Station rather than the Market Place when we were home-bound - I probably would have missed my X21 connection (which I caught by 3 minutes) if he hadn't. The hour-long wait for the next X21 wouldn't have been great. I hope a similar trip is done next year too.
It was a great day out - I like the set-up of Kirkby Stephen, with the shuttle buses working very much like an ordinary bus service would (two termini with stopping points in the middle). Although they seemingly weren't timetabled (departing when either full or when instructed to as there were higher numbers of people waiting in a specific area), they were frequent and you could guarantee to get wherever you wanted within 15-30 minutes.

There was a lad younger than you on the trip, Tom! He was with one of the enthusiasts who came on the trip, but it does show that you can go to these things no matter how old or young you are. Besides, you're not that much younger than me?

The young lad would be Harry who amusingly whacked a certain late running person (who isn't popular with a number of members on here) several times with an empty plastic bottle.

Dont let your age hold you back mate, am sure you wouldn't look stupid just cos your young, when I was your age(i'm guessing between 14-16) I went all over the place mostly on my own, and it has helped me now I am in my 30's...

One Graeme Palmer did not turn up at 16:30 yesterday, the time we were due to depart Brough to head off back home.
Excluding him, the last of the troops arrived between 16:15 and 16:25. The bus actually started letting people on from 16:00. We waited until 16:35 and then left without him - only for him to wave the bus down as we were leaving Brough.
Had me on the edge of my seat all the way back to Bishop Auckland as we were on a Dennis Condor (surely must be famous for the lack of speed) and I was due to meet a connection to the Pronto at 17:38. It took us approximately an hour to get to Brough from Bishop Auckland, so I knew it would be approximately the same coming back too.

He was mentioned last month here, to add an insight to what Gary said.

On a college trip to Lightwater Valley we had to sit on the coach for an hour whilst the staff went to find the lass who had gone walkabout.

Also when I went to see The Killers at Wembley Stadium last year on Cavendish Travel someone didn't come back to the bus after the gig so the lad she was with who had made back to the bus got and we ended up leaving them behind

I woulda left him, waved and pulled a moonie as he was left behind, if he cant follow a simple instruction such as the time to be back on the bus, then he is fair to be made to walk home

Most people wanted too but the Condor got stuck behind the Primrose Tiger, who decided to park up and get out to take some photos of their coach.

4 days till i get my student finance!!

Can't wait, although the downfall is, it has to last me till September, that's if i go back, the whole class has had nothing but problems this year with the college and staff.

Nearly done my first year out of 2 years, at Usworth college (Washington).

Get yaself back in September, give it till christmas, would be a shame to waste a year...If, as you say, there is a new childcare department come september, that may be end up being a good thing

After Christmas its gone down hill, its that badly ran, they don't know if their even doing my course next year (i'll do it because it will be my 2nd year)... that tells u something haha

That's shocking. We had similar issues when I went to college over 10 years ago. Lecturers coming and going, no lesson plans, vague knowledge of the course they were teaching (excuse was usually that it was a new course), and work not being marked. We ended up going to see the Principal in numbers and it got sorted out like.
