RE: Service Changes - October 30th 2022
(24 Oct 2022, 4:16 pm)Adrian wrote Why didn't Gateshead Central put anything on their website to say that Go North East are now operating the Washington locals, when they chucked their contracts in a year or so ago? Or put any timetables on their website, for that matter.
Of course it can be done, and it's another example of not doing what is best for the customer, but it seems that we judge some by higher standards than others.
I don't think there any excuses for GCT.
However, there are none for GNE either. Either before they chucked in the Washington locals or at any point since.
But if we are going to compare the two on standards, then I think it goes without saying GNE perceive themselves to be better than GCT.
Whether that be on the balance sheet stakes, the size of the fleet or whatever else.Â
In which case, they need to raise the standard beyond hiring in those external timetable designers or website developers and look at how the passenger would benefit from this sort of information.
Maybe others will follow.
It's that race to the bottom mentality we keep hearing about again.
It's the 'why should we do it' mentality rearing it's head again.
Won't somebody please think of the passengers?
