I'd imagine they arent built in fleet or registration order...

But if they needed 2 less red ones because the X1 dropped by 2, wouldn't there would be spare red ones regardless of the build order and not an extra green one?

They didn't paint any extra - they've just painted them in the wrong order.

The bus that ought to have been green was painted red, and the bus which ought to have been red was painted green. No big deal.
Are there any plans to redo the leds on the green streetdecks that were originally planned for the x1? they look quite strange with red leds compared to the ones with the green.

No. Every single StreetDeck has amber-coloured LEDs, which was meant to represent gold.

It's only the ADL Enviro400s which have green LEDs. Again a mistake at the bus builders' end, as these should have been gold too.

I'd imagine it'd be a fairly easy fix to change them over if it ever became an issue, like if there was a change in branding. Are they just standard LED strips inside a channel?

Wouldn't it have been easier to swap the fleet numbers round?

That’s what has been done, as I mentioned above. What was 6363 became 6371, what was 6371 became 6363.

Thanks - sometimes not easy to spot all the posts given the number there are in a day!
Have they said what the plan is with 6333 yet, will it be staying on the X21 or will it transfer over to Consett with the rest of the blue StreetDecks?
I assume if it transfers over the X21 GNE plate will be put on 6334 to hide the age of it

It remains at Chester-le-Street for the time being to cover for 6308 - 6314 receiving buggy bay mods. The parts should have come weeks ago but they’re on back order with Wrights.

Once these mods are complete, yes, it will transfer to Consett.

And 6372
Seems like the X1 Streetdeck thatvwas involved in the incident at High Level Bridge is now back on the road...

Seems a bit soon to me like, could they even get the parts in that fast if they're having problems getting parts for the B5s

Parts for B5 are just for fitment of buggy bays. I'm sure mechanical/ body parts be more readily available

Yes it is back in service as passed me at Gateshead while I was waiting for 6372

The service frequency info is clearer on this example than when it's all on one line...

Good to see they've gone back to "via" rather than the confusing arrows. Arrows, to me anyway, implied that the service was direct to that location - when this was rarely the case.
Another new X1 X-lines is parked inside Saltmeadows and going by what’s entered service it’s either 6367 or 6373.

Do x45/6/7's show that there nonstop between newcastle and metrocentre.
There's only 6367 and 6373 left to enter service for the X-Lines X1 service now (as above, 1 of those have arrived).

6352 - 6355 to arrive too (E400)

The 9 electric buses to arrive, next month.

Unless anymore have arrived, I'm going by Bustimes.org.

E400s or so we believe  Wink
I know I'm a /bit/ strange, but one thing that I've always been curious about is how much it costs to replace the massive windscreens on buses and coaches.
If you look at the windscreen on a StreetDeck it's curved in pretty much every direction and is huge, it must cost an absolute fortune to replace one if it gets cracked.

Nah, they just get Gavin from autoglass round.

...finally, one thing we can all agree on! Wink
Out of interest, what was it Thorntons’s did to the red Xlines Streetdecks?
