I don't consider a £1.30 saving worth the risk of having to wait around ES for half an hour or more if an X12 breaks down or doesn't show for other reasons, which isn't uncommon. IdI rather pay the £6.30 for a castles express daysaver or a little more for a blue and green one if I know there's likely to be problems on the roads, as that then adds in the possibility of travelling home via Stanley, (X30/31 then 16/A) which can be quicker than a snarled up 21.

470/473 and 464 already provide that service. Another bus route wouldn't be sustainable.

What would serve easington colliery instead of the 23. The 22 only has time to squeeze that in on a Sunday, when there are fewer delays at either end.

I honestly don't see the point in those changes? Delays on the X15/X18 currently can be handled to an extent because of the fast running on the route south of Morpeth, but if you're incorporating those journeys into local services, then passengers will quickly become annoyed (and bar excessive layover, there is nowhere to make up time)
The X5, in my opinion, wouldn't work. South of Alnwick it's exactly the same as what you have now, and the whole point of the current X18 is that it hugs the coast and serves several key tourist locations. Missing out the villages along the route, and then Craster and Beadnell, would lose you passengers (and it also wouldn't massively make the route quicker, maybe 10 minutes missed out?)
Cutting the X20 would also annoy more people than it would please. The section from Ashington to Newcastle has been a key part of the Ashington express network for 9 years, and I can't see any reason that you would withdraw it now. You also need to bear in mind that it serves parts of Ashington that the X21/22 don't.

Well passengers of Seaton can easily jump on a 57 and connect with a X21 at Ashington or Bedlington.

You're still doubling journey times between North Seaton and Morpeth though?
Will the connections at Morpeth be guaranteed? If yes, are they also guaranteed with the services from Berwick? If yes again, can you imagine the chaos when a service from Alnwick is delayed, the passengers of which all have to fit onto the same vehicle as those who have travelled from Ashington, *and* any intending passengers from Morpeth.

Im sure the 356 took a slightly different route like but only was a frequent user till it ended when i was about 9 so never took too much notice. What about the old X6? Didn't that replace the 56

Up until 2010 the 356 ran from Newcastle-North Shields via Gosforth high street-South Gosforth-Longbenton-Four Lane Ends-West Moor-Killingworth Bus Station-East Bailey-Backworth-Shiremoor-New York-Billy Mill-North Shields then in 2010 it was re-numbered to the 56 along with alot of other routes,it remained the 56 until 2012 when the service was withdrawn,it was the replaced with the X6 which ran a totally different route along with the X6A which ran from Newcastle-Killingworth Bus Station-the services only lasted a year until 2013 which is when it became its current setup

As I live in east Durham area, can’t see any of these services working, also Hartlepool to billingham to Middlesbrough won’t work as it would mean Arriva going back from the deal that there made with Stagecoach. If it’s not broke then it doesn’t need fixing, existing network works ok. Doesn’t take much to change from bus to bus to continue your journey.

Sundays buses will run every 30 mins and will operate hourly to amble and ever 30 mins up to newbiggin (1 run every hour terminates at newbiggin seacrest road)untill 7pm when buses will run hourly and terminate at newbiggin cresswell arms.
