The branding suits the Enviro200MMCs really well... looks quite smart.

It doesn't appear to be in service - it looks to be on driver familiarisation.

I can see more indications that it is in service than on driver familiarisation but ok.

The interior lights would be on for it to be in service. Nobody but the driver being on board is another big give-away. That and this tweet:

Plus, Transdev aren't one to put buses on the road without any fleetnames, numbers or branding.

Not necessarily. When i was getting the 16 from Stanley, at least 3 occasions (and it wasn't that many times, less than 10 that's for sure) the interior lights were switched off and only came on when the doors were open.
I hadn't checked their twitter so I suppose you have a point with that one but it shouldn't really have the destination set as if it in service, if correct.

I was in Leeds for about half an hour last week, and noticed one of the Volvo B7s with the Gemini 2 front end in base livery colours without route branding.

Why do they spilt the routes in the summer?
(01 Feb 2016, 11:07 pm)Michael wrote [ -> ]Why do they spilt the routes in the summer?
They haven't done in the past. Just looks like, from the summer timetable onwards, the routes will now be split, much like Arriva's X93 last year.

That's exactly what I was referring to in the original post. From the start of the Summer 2016 timetable, the Coastliner network moves off the Tachograph regulations. It also looks as though all journeys between Leeds and Malton will run as 843s regardless of where it goes from Malton.
Last weekend, I was down in Sheffield viewing the revamped Sheffield Bus Partnership network, which has received a few tweaks since the initial issues.
Some observations and interworking patterns:
- As per the previous network when it was services 47/48 (Shiregreen-City-Herdings), service 1a (High Green-City-Herdings) interworks at Herdings with the 56 (Wybourn-City-Herdings)
- As it is only runs between Hillsborough and Meadowhall, the 38 interworks at all times at one end of the route - during the Monday to Saturday daytime hours it interworks at Hillsborough with the 97/98 (Totley or Totley Brook-City-Hillsborough). On Sundays, it interworks at Meadowhall with the 18 (City-Norton Lees-Gleadless Townsend-Meadowhall). Evening interworking is quite random, some 38s work onto 18s at Meadowhall and off 97/98 in Hillsborough while some 38s start off 18s at Meadowhall.
- First's Sunday trips on the 83 (Ecclesfield-City-Bents Green) interworks with the 20 (Hemsworth-City-Ecclesfield). Stagecoach's Sunday 83s (they only run the 83 evening/Sunday) run light to the depot at Ecclesfield to layover
- One 271/272 Weekday board works onto 81/82 in Dore at 1439. Monday to Saturday Evening 272s work off an 81/82 board arriving into the City from Millhouses at 2009 (light from Angel Street to the Interchange)First South Yorkshire 47483 (SN64 CNU) by Tony Kuy, on Flickr
- Rotherham's evening turns on the 69 (Rotherham-Tinsley-Sheffield) and X5 (Sheffield-Dinnington) are now worked by Streetdecks rather than Streetlites, likewise Olive Grove now use B9TLs on their turns rather than Streetlites. Sunday turns are now mostly Rotherham operated using their 4 StreetlitesFirst South Yorkshire 35121 (SM65 EFH) by Tony Kuy, on Flickr
- One of the evening turns on the 4a (City-Millhouses Tesco) and 6a (City-Manor Top) works off the peak turn on the 29 (Sheffield-Penistone) so can throw up random Solos or even a MAN Centro as per FridayTM Travel 1200 (YN08 JWE) by Tony Kuy, on Flickr
- The 6 (Darnell-City-Millhouses Tesco) has a 31 minutes layover at Millhouses every trip - interestingly, prior to the network recast, the old version of the 6 also had a long layover in the Interchange following the lost of the 31/31a (City-Hillsborough) by TM
