Variation Accepted by SN: Operating between Anlaby Road and St Marys College given service number 940S effective from 07-Mar-2016. To amend Timetable.
A new Optare Solo is due for Utopia Coaches of Sherburn (so not far for the delivery run) very shortly (details actually in their timetable for the 42-0/1/2. Due to a weight limit on Cawood Bridge, it should be a short model.
EYMS' Moors Explorer seems to be starting later this year.

The CityZap B7TLs are now confirmed as 3608-12 (X8-12 VTD). One has now been branded - as shown on Alex Hornby's personal Twitter
First york volvo B7TL ALX 400 32249 has been repainted got york logo on the side
Volvo B7TL 3609 (X9 VTD) has been branded for the Cityzap service between York and Leeds:

Difference to Kuyoyo's post being that these carry the full branding.

Also of note is that they have been fitted with new front destination displays in White.
Sticking with the Cityzap, a launch event was held in York today to promote the services, 3608 and 3609 were used in the event as shown here (they were still setting up when I took this photo, hence the boxes).

I believe that there will be an event in Leeds tomorrow.

Also, as you may have noticed 3608 is now registered as YL51 ZAP and 3609 is now registered as YL02 ZAP.

14 StreetLites are on order for Doncaster and they will be joined by some more newer stock later in they year

First West Yorkshire optare solo 50236 has moved to First Manchester at Oldham depot
Details of the Doncaster and Rotherham changes from May are starting to appear:

22m/X78 - 22m reduced to just Rotherham-Meadowhall while the X78 becomes every 15 minutes between Rotherham and Doncaster.

  • The Sheffield-Rotherham short journeys on the X78 are to be routed via the under-construction Bus Rapid Transit Road
  • The 22m retains the number as it will be interworking with the 22a/22c

  • Due for First South Yorkshire are 14 Streetlite MAXs for Doncaster as well as a few for Rotherham. 4 are ready for delivery and they are 63369/70/2/3
  • Ex-Leeds Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 37021-30/2-5 (YJ06 XKK-P/S-V/X-Z, XLA) are due to return to West Yorkshire as a result of PVR reductions at Rotherham depot

Been trying and failing to find a picture of one of the B8RLEs which shows the seats! (I have the wildest Saturday evenings, it seems)

They're similar to the ones that stagecoach use in many of their vehicles, aren't they? I noticed the EYMS Petuaria Express one I linked to had seatbelts. One of the pictures I found had a Hymers College sign reflected in the windscreen, so I guess they do school contracts.

Further details:
  • South Yorkshire are due 22 Streetlites - 14 for Doncaster and 8 for Rotherham.
  • West Yorkshire are reported to be due 37 Streetdecks - also reported to be split between Leeds Hunslet Park, Leeds Bramley and Bradford depots, with Huddersfield and Halifax gaining older Volvo B7TL/Geminis to replace the oldest ALX400-bodied examples by the end of the year and Olympians by the summer

Transdev Burnley and Pendle's Witch Way is being extended to Skipton Half-Hourly 7 days a week and the Dalesbus 872 will be renumbered to the X43 on Sundays.
