22570/74/79/80/81 to devon in trade for 15781-5 to allow the 100 to  have the much needed double decker conversion.
This will also require a re-route avoiding the low bridge so I have made a new one. On the new route buses will operate via Scotswood view, Holinside way, onto the A1, exit the A1 from the A184 slip road then normal route in both directions.
The spares will be the leather seater E400s (19194/6/7)
15781-5 will recieve minimal branding for the 100 with the same 100 logo the yutong demo had but on the scanias above the doors, above driver cab and inside the rear poster boards.
Inside the side posters boards there will be the images on that are on the current E300s at the back windows
These will have wi-fi and usb chargers fitted
What are your thoughts

22579 can't transfer as it's withdrawn due to the crash with the Taxi. Also the 100 goes under a low bridge.

Then 24114 can transfer instead. There is details I have included about a reroute away from the low bridge in my post. The reroute only adds 0.6 miles (the current route is 4.4 miles the new route is 5 miles)
The re route is via Scotswood view, Holinside way, onto the A1, exit the A1 from the A184 slip road then normal route in both directions.
Will the transbus E300s be coming to Newcastle in the summer when tesside get the new buses?
A plan to get the omnilinks off the X24 and the 08 reg MANviro 300s off the 100

15920-23 to transfer from lillyhall depot (Cumbria) to Sunderland Depot these viechles will be replaced in Cumbria by new viechles

15920-22 will remain in stagecoach gold livery with branding for the X24 Sunderland city centre, Chester road, Gateshead, Newcastle City centre (in stagecoach gold double decker style) on the side

On the engine flap (where the Map at the rear usually is it will say:
Newcastle to Sunderland in just 39 minutes & Sunderland to Newcastle in 43 minutes

This will displace 24001-3 to the 100
This allows the 100 MANviro 300s to go to elsewhere
24001-3 will receive stagecoach fleet colours with minimal 100 branding

What are your thoughts of my plan?

First the 100 needs 4 Buses, 2nd 24001-3 are so unreliable so there’s no gain. 3rd why would Cumbria just give E400s Over to SNE and why Stagecoach Gold?

Stagecoach gold livery is getting phased out as stagecoach wants the fleet in normal livery

As I said the buses from Cumbria will be replaced by brand new buses

And they are to be stagecoach gold so they can still be of a high spec for the X24 like the omnilinks.

26276 - 26293 - Stockton for services 36/37/38.

22016/22018 - 22020/22061 - 22064 will be directly withdrawn. 22026 will also be replaced, with the spare Enviro 400 taking it's place in reserve...

The arrival of these new buses will release 24101, 24103, 24105 - 24112 to Slatyford.

22012/22013/22050/22051/22065 - 22070 will be withdrawn as a result.

24x ADL Enviro 400MMCs - Sunderland for the E1/E2/E6/X24/X34 services.

19641/19642 will transfer to Stockton to provide additional capacity buses, this will allow 22514/22515 to transfer to Slatyford allowing 22080/22081 to be withdrawn.

19643/19644 will transfer to Walkergate, this will allow the withdrawl of 22022/22024.

24001 - 24003 will be withdrawn from service at Sunderland.

27726 - 27740 will transfer to Slatyford, this will allow the withdrawl of 22082/22341 - 22348/22408 - 22413.

34605/34611 will also be withdrawn, as a result of having 2 additional spares for these services.

When I last checked the Scania Bus & Coach website they still make the E300 NG & E400 NG (unless it hasn't been updated in a while). I think it would be great if Sunderland got more Gas Buses. Though I assume they will need extra funding for this.

Another order prediction would be ADL E200 MMCs (smaller ones) for Sunderland 4/5/10/11/23 and Slatyford 6/7/8 allowing several MAN E200s to be withdrawn or transferred elsewhere within Stagecoach. As well as several "Smart Hybrid" ADL E400s for Walkergate, allowing several of the oldest ADL E400s to be placed in reserve/withdrawn - 4 of which would replace the current open-top tridents.

I think South Shields depot would be an ideal depot for a fleet of electric buses - for 3/4/7/8.

Also I assume several vehicles at Walkergate & Slatyford will need exhaust modifications to upgrade them to Euro 6 for the clean air / low emissions zone in Newcastle that may be coming into effect soon.

Not sure if its true, but i typed in stagecoach preseeved ALX300,and 22026 was the the one that came up,so not sure if it is or not
My mate has overheard some info, apparently 23 E400MMCs have been ordered for the 39/40 leaving the E400 hybrids to transfer to Slatyford to replace older buses. Can’t comfirm or deny this

Already confirmed on the latest news thread. But stated the hybrids moving out of region not to Slatyford.

Hybrids are staying in Newcastle and are to be upgraded or may have been already.

Actually, stated that the oldest E400s are leaving the region - the Hybrids aren't leaving.

Shame 3 or 4 won't be heading to Sunderland for the X24.

I think it's to with the clean air zone which the X24 enters I was kind of hoping they would order gas deckers for the X24/X34

They don't really need them most of the time. Although if Sunderland had say 20 gas E400s ordered for use on the X24/X34 first then other busier services in Sunderland, and for use on the Es in the summer/bank holidays, that would be perfect. Don't think Stagecoach NE could make the business case for that though.
Has anyone heard anything yet about stockton Stockton e200mmc 26280 as it has been off road since September 20th
6 new E400's for the X24/X34 + (1 spare) = 7

WIFI, USB ports, same seats as the Enviro 400's on the 39/40, stop announcements (when traveling between the non stop area's, adverts will flash, about tickets, upcoming changes)

I would say that technology is rapidly moving on from gas to be honest, and that’s what Stagecoach have realised.

If so, i wonder, how an electric bus would cope on the X24/X34?
what sort of range are these new GNE electric buses advertised as having? do they have a diesel engine as "back up" in case they run out of electric?
(05 Jan 2020, 3:17 pm)Rob44 wrote [ -> ]what sort of range are these new GNE electric buses advertised as having? do they have a diesel engine as "back up" in case they run out of electric?

Full electric, the ones on order were 374Kwh but after 6 months Yotung upgraded the batter to 422Kwh, which is what GNE will now get.

Info from Bus and Coach magazine - 10th December 2019.

Most in the trade press are hawked at 150-180 miles.  Battery technology is advancing quickly though, so this is increasing all of the time.  I believe the GNE ones are pure electric (including heating).

Brighton and Hove have recently taken delivery of Range Extended double deckers (E400 MMCs).  These run in pure electric mode through a geo-fenced area, and diesel outwith.  Not sure if this option exists on any single decker offerings.
Are the hybrids keeping the green interior, with blue seats? I love the new 39/40 interior, although it doesn't look very Stagecoach. I wonder if the new buses will be on the other Walkergate services.
