Why do you think it's "absolutely disgusting", if you don't mind me asking?
Providing the information given in these sex education lessons is age-appropriate to primary school students, I would have absolutely no problem with this whatsoever...

I wouldn't either. In fact I think it should be compulsory.

In this day and age where it is incredibly easy for children to find pornography on the internet I think some things should be taught to children of a younger age as talking to kids about sex at age 14 is a bit late in my opinion as with the internet and sex just being everywhere else too it should really be taught in some capacity to younger children, obviously I'm not suggesting ridiculous things like teaching 8 year olds about sex more just things like staying safe online and stuff like that.

The fact that Children as young as 5 will be taught sex education lessons is what I think is disgusting about it, which was stated on the ITV Lunchtime News earlier.

I think that the sex education lessons for children as young as five will be orientated around relationships rather than letting them know the "ins and outs".
Children of this age do start to get in what can loosely be called "relationships", so surely it's appropriate to let these children know about relationships in general?

Thats the way the world is now Adam, I personally think 5 is a bit young to be honest, but kids have to learn it, I was 10 when I was first taught Sex Education.
Kids are exposed to it so early in there lives now, with social media and entertainment being quite sexualised...
There probably is not an answer we will all agree on as to what age is ideal to get sex ed.
Question to parents on here...
Would you be happy with your children learning about sex at such a young age

I doubt they will teach full on sex ed to 5 year olds it will probably be something like "a man or a woman may have feelings for another man or woman and they will share these feelings and live happily ever after" hardly doubt they will have videos explaining sex in detail or even like ones with fiction characters like fuzzy and fluffy bunny on the Simpsons... "then came the big day fluffy and fuzzy got married, that night came the honeymoon" EWW! "she's faking it"
Any excuse to quote stuff from the Simpsons.

I bet 5 year olds would be more mature than me when learning it the words 'a mans willy' can still have me in tears laughing

Even when we were having sex ed at the ages of 12 most of my class were rolling on the floor peeing themselves laughing just because words like penis, sex and vaginas were mentioned (I was more mature, sort of)

I was taught Sex Education in Year 6 when I was at School, so I would of been 10 or 11 at the time, been shown how to put a Condom on a Banana or Cucumber was about as graphic as it got back then, can only imagine what it would be like now.

Obviously I wouldnt expect them to be taught the in and outs, but upon watching the News, then reading the Article itself it does make you wonder what these MPs deem acceptable, again I do think teaching Children as young as 5 is pushing it, perhaps teaching Children who are in Key Stage 2, so from Year 3 or 4 on wards would be more appropriate.

Well you got more taught than we did in year 6, all we got was puberty and that was about it. No idea what it's like now in terms of how it's taught now.
I'll be honest I don't think my school ever really taught us much about sex, I left school at 16 and I didn't know how to put a condom on and we got the stupidest videos ever, one of them was some guy turning up on some girls doorstep naked with a rose in his mouth and I think that was as graphic as it got and all I came away with after watching that is Pulp's Disco 2000 is a TUNE! So pretty terrible then, this is why I think sex ed should be better taught and the reason why it is often terrible is because teachers don't want to teach them it, I can just imagine teachers shoving videos in then running off hiding so no students can ask them questions.

We got shown how to put a jonnie on, the teacher warned us 'If your going to laugh, sit at the back, if I see you laughing your out and dont say anything' teacher unwraps the blob and said 'this is a penis' and 'this is a condom' I was absolutely dying say 'No it's not sir, it's a broom handle' but my mate dug me in the kidneys before I could say owt lol

When does East Coast change hands, is it March 1st???
Have you seen the 91103 livery yet, if so whats it like...
Just get a picture of a train still in EC livery and pretend it os 91103 [emoji14]
Aye, 1st March.
91103 is still at Bounds Green apparently, but Branson and Souter will commit suicide if it comes out before the 1st.
Still don't know what it looks like, but it better be worth it!
Virgin Trains East Coast's decision to use Nectar instead of keeping East Coast Rewards has really p****d me off! I have the equivalence of 42 1st Class tickets on my rewards, but now they've gone to nothing! Thanks Beardie Branson!!
You can still use those tickets for about six months, if I recall correctly?
I'm not sure mate. I spoke to my Dad's friend Davie who works on the customer services desk in Newcastle but he was clueless.
42 1st class tickets?!
You can use them until September, but seeing as you won't get through them all - feel free to share them out on here *coughs*
Yes please!
Down with bloody Beardy Branson and Souter!
Using the special offer of four First Class single tickets exchanging for 1565 points, Lee must have 15650 points (ie 40 tickets) plus an extra 980 points for the two extra tickets. A grand total of 16630 points!
Given that you accumulate a point for every pound spent (on standard tickets), it's no wonder East Coast made a profit, according to the news article Andreos shared the other day..!

Try find him in the crowd picture from West Bromwich Albion that he posted after Marcus' School were thumped at The Hawthorns In the cup
The Lincoln game may be easier. Wasn't as many there - 75 if I remember right.
2000 at West Brom.
