How many Cobalt Clipper Omnicitys were there? 10 yeah?
6 are going to Whey Aye 5-0, that leaves 4 left but the X30/X31 PVR is 5.

That's because the likelihood of those transferring to Stanley is very slim, waste of time having for the X30 and X31 when the PVR isn't enough. They'll probably be used on the 9. Unless 4906/07/08/09/11/20/22/24/25 tranfer to Percy Main for use on the 9, with 4906 and 4907 as spares? Then two Solar's transfer to replace 8239 and 8241. Therefore, this would allow 5246/47/48/49/50/53/54/73 to move to Stanley for use on the X30/X31/X70/X71.
Repainted 8319 is on 42s today. At PL now.

Who is to say Percy Main's keeping all 4 'Northern' ones? The simple truth is the 9 doesn't really justify OmniCity operatoions so likelihood is it will be downgraded to free up the other Nortehrn Omnis to be back-up on the 1.

Why do people keep assuming Percy Main will operatic the short 9s? The likelihood is they will be operated by Deptford. And, given they will be some freed up by the 36/36A going, Cadet operation maybe possible.

People make the assumption that Percy Main will operate 9's because it has been GNE policy since the Peter Huntley days that one depot should take ownership of a route to ensure that one person is accountable for quality and performance ( Lime 78 being the exception to the rule).

According to you last night, the 4 Northern Omnis were off to do the x30/x31.
Now you are saying they are back up for the 1...

No, 5250/3/4/73 ie the ex-Cobalt ones repainted red are the ones going for the X30/X31. Add one of 5247/8/9/74 to thoses and you get the 5 for the X30/X31.

Yet, more cost effective for Deptford to run them given Percy Main drivers would somehow have to get from North Shields to Jarrow and back agin at the start/end of their runs on those short trips, whereas Deptford would be able to do that at Park Lane. Add to the 3 buses running light through the Tyne tunnel 6 days in both directions and you'd see the operational costs per vehicle increase above the norm.

Got you.
So which ones are off to the 50 and which ones are staying/going on the 1?

5255-60 are the ones for the 50, as for which red ones stay and which ones goes I don't known but others on here might do.

So to clarify what you are saying.

* 5255 - 60 are for the 50.
* 5250/3/4/73 plus one of 5247/8/9/74 are for the x30/31.
* The remaining 3 are spares of some description to cover 3 out of the 4 routes.

If your lucky, you get a Double Decker as well as its a bit of while stocks last situation - but we've got 750 for the 3 days & 3,000 scratchcards.

I hope it works too, but there's been some really good feedback so far from customers and the promotion folk who've been out and about this week.

Really - looking at the lost mileage data since Monday, there is only 3 occurrences whereby mileage has been lost? There is more incidents however mileage has not been lost.

Saw 5210 in bright yellow, what brand is it going to?

Is there any statistical evidence for this?

GNE only really lose out if people making longer journeys decide to take an X2 over a 21 North
Just a wild guess, but could 5210 be 8228's replacement at Hexham?
