Are they doing major changes to the Sunderland network like they did not long ago?, like when they merged the 9 and 61 together, 20 and 35 swapped going to shields?

you will find out the rest of the changes sometime next week, wont be monday though as thats a bank holiday, only confirmed them as they have already been posted on social media, got the info from a secure closed facebook group only certain people can get access to.......keep guessing though lets see what you think could happen

Thanks Dan, I'd been wondering about the 135/136 daytime as the timetable showing them is still available under the "Nexus contract changes from 17th May" link on the website. I assume that they ceased from 17th May.
Are the early journeys Mon-Sat actually running? (nothing on GoNE or Nexus websites).

If the 38 is going to the docks, then i would imagine either the 33 or 33A would be dropped from that section? - or both.
Wonder if the 39 will be dropped to every 30 minutes (15 combined) 39 - every 30 minutes/39A every 30 minutes
Other than that, i can't think if how they could change the Sunderland network anymore? - unless they rip the services apart again.. hopefully that doesn't happen.

Wonder if the new 61 would be diverted via part of the 38 route? - would imagine that, the 61 would be allocated Citaro's from the 9, with both routes stopping every 20 minutes.

If the 9 and 61 is getting split, for some reason, i'm expecting at least one other route getting spilt, something like the 20, so it would be: Durham to Sunderland then renumbered for the Sunderland to South Shields section.

I'm clueless about the Nexus rota at Deptford so can't comment. Only know about the 9 & 61, 20 is unchanged as far as I'm aware apart from frequency.

Can't see it going back up to every 10 minutes - so expecting it to drop to every 15 minutes now - PVR would be 13?

It is but I post covid 19 it would be more beneficial for GNE to merge services together that overlap as at the minute a few of these services don't make that much money which is they let they evening journeys go to GCT as they were not sustainable to operate commercially, this would counteract that and more than likely reduce operating costs also.
This is just one example, there are countless amounts of examples where this could work across other services on the GNE network.

Post Covid 19, when traffic builds up, there might be some problems with reliability with such a long route, so might need more stand time at the interchange, but does seem like a reasonable suggestion to keep operating commercially especially during evenings to prevent GCT from grabbing them!

Yeah I forgot to note that bit of having them split on Pennywell/Chester Road.
In regards to PVR I think for all four services is 20, i think 16 buses would cover it with 2 spares as there is now on the 2/2A/39.

This is a bad idea imo. The reason the 39 struggles is it barely has a purpose. Pennywell -> Sunderland is Stagecoach territory with the 20, Doxford Park to Sunderland is also Stagecoach territory with the 4 and 12. Then the rest of the route is mostly duplicated by the 2 which runs all night so the majority of the route has a service anyway.
Unless you suddenly have some reason for a massive demand between Grangetown / Ryhope to Doxford Park and Washington to Chester Road there's no need for it being every 10 minutes whereas the sections which are popular Silksworth -> Sunderland and Chester Road your decreasing to every 10 minutes from every 7.5 minutes. Not to mention your also making the route slower between Sunderland and Penshaw and onwards.
Personally I'd just renumber the 39 to the number 1 and market is as one bus route every 7.5 minutes with different endings. The core of the 39 is the same as the 2 anyway.

On the same post on fb, Martijn has included a picture of the revised capacity poster; Looks to be a StreetDeck so I'd imagine it's 6301 as well. 17 - 27 is the revised figure which is 25% to just under 40% maximum capacity. The normal max seating capacity on that bus is also visible still and is 68.

When GNE go back to an almost full service from the 1st June - will all the buses come back in to service or will some remain temporarily withdrawn? - sure i read its going to be a 80%-85% service.

IIRC, most services will run at 100% during peak, with the rest running at 85% at peak. They will then reduce the frequency when there's no demand, such as late at night and during the middle of the day on some service

Think Scania L94 won't come back, also a few older Solos might be withdrawn as well.
Also, Hexham appears to have used Citaros today on X84/X85, so the recommissioning of the mothballed fleet seems to be underway.

Ye, Martjin confirmed that buses will start to move to their proper depots from Friday night and continue over the weekend.
The Citaros on the X84/X85 might of moved already, maybe with a few more.
Just checked gov.uk, and the L94s are taxed until 1st May 2021, so they might see short-term use after all...

Can easily get refund on those, like they have done past few month. With some routes at Deptford seeing PVR reduction and not all services running usual frequency, doubt they'll make it back in service

I imagine we have seen the last of them due to pvr reductions on the likes of the 9/26/27 and 55, you also have the former Bluestar Mercs which could cover the PVR of the 35.
I would also think Versas would be reinstated on the 93/94 as per allocation pre covid-19.
Going to be a lot of repaints to go through once Saltmeadows reopens whenever this will be.
