All three suffered major failures prior to being stripped for spares. the MAN should all have been replaced but we are victims of the massive cuts in capital expenditure. Not saying we would have got MMC but cascaded stuff maybe a couple of years younger and Darts or E20Ds.

Ah right, thank you for the information!

The MAN Enviro's are terrible.. need to go but that's not gonna happen.

Several of the MAN E200s are very scruffy and are in desperate need of a repaint, especially 39730.

At least that one has been repainted previously, 39726 seemed to have slipped through the net and has never been repainted. When it doesn't have a side advert board the new bus stickers that were applied when they were brand new can be seen.
When you look across the fleet repaint wise it is notable that the early Dart SLF4 have featured 36083/6/7/93 but not one MAN , some a year younger have been included in the program. It is widely assumed they wont be rebranded.

@skmpub

The Volvo B9s on loan at Stagecoach North East from Ensign Bus, 80044-47, have now been returned whilst MAN/Enviro 200s 39718/24/28, which had been delicensed here are now for disposal.

80046/47 are still on site at Slatyford this evening - presumably awaiting collection/driver availability.
Stagecoach Slatyford driver has confirmed that 80044/45/46/47 have been sold and collected by their new operator on tuesday
With the weather nice again today, I would imagine the E services are going to be packed which makes me wonder why they've only allocated one E400 on the route... when more could be allocated?
It appears that ADL E400s 19440 and 19444 have transferred to Sunderland from Walkergate.

Are there are any more to transfer?
I did photo 19444 I hate the advert on the back
Can Sunderland stop taking everything Walkergate/Slatyford. They have took the Open Toppers and a few E400. Slatyford gets sent more single deckers  Huh

It'll just be for the summer to help out on the Es, Walkergate don't need them during the school holidays.

19440 was my bus to work this morning, was a nice ride.... glad we have more deckers at Sunderland, they'll need them over the holidays, if the weather stays like this!

Retired early  after arriving in Red House at 14:31.

there is a *possibility* that one of the two *may* be to replace 19114 which is on decision.

What does that mean
I would guess that means it’s pending a decision on repair or uneconomical to repair

Standard term for anything that may be uneconomical to repair versus life expectancy.

There are lots of videos on YouTube of it being absolutely hammered on the X24 and X34, especially with it having kickdown enabled, so I'm not surprised if its engine failed - assuming that is what the problem is?

She had a new engine in May, then returned to service but never tracked. Was laid up again at the end of June. She's probably had her budget allowance spent for the year!
