So you’d halve the service between Byker and Cobalt via Wallsend? No.
Yes but it'd take longer by 15 mins or so
That’s infinitely preferable to unnecessarily halving the service between Byker and Wallsend, for which there is no commercial justification for.

Needs to be more frequent considering most people only ever get the 100 between Newcastle and Metrocentre.
Anyways, didn't there used to be a 64?

Yes your right, there was,it ran Forest Hall-Chapel House, the 64A ran Chapel House-Killingworth which is now the 63,cant remember the way the old 63 went but i do recall it going via West Moor then along Benton Lane, there was also the 62,62A,and 62B,aswell as the 61 which operated from Longbenton (cant remember where to),the 38 also used to serve Forest Hall

Not to mention the low bridge in Dunston.
The only way this 64 would work is by using E200/300. They could take the metro centre allocation but then where would the rest come from. Any ideas?

I never understood this as the Ten, 47 and the 602, X12/X36 before ran with double deckers. My idea was short workings as well.

They operate through a different section of dunston which will take it longer.

Not particularly longer.
If it uses the road between Wellington Road and Handy Drive, I cant see it taking too much longer (if at all) than its current route.
Don’t know why there changed the route originally, should of kept it on the motorway after the last stop at central station it was faster and straight

Aye. Maybe sending it on the motorway by metro retail park

Takes forever to go around that way, no quicker than via Dunston Park. The metrocentre is terribly designed as in there is no direct exit onto the A1. The A1114/Teams Street as quick as any other. TENs and Red Kites/6As take the same time in the variations they take. I think it works well now (or as well as it can), the 3 ways from Newcastle to Metro.
X34: South Shields - Pier Head - Marsden - Horsley Hill - Harton Nook - Whitleas - Boldon - Gateshead - Newcastle.
Service extended to South Shields via Pier Head, the service will no longer serve Prince Edward Road and will operate in both directions between Harton Nook and Marsden. The service will operate along the 516 route between Marsden and Pier Head. The service will be reduced to hourly and will operate later into the evenings and Sundays.

Shields Circular 30 and 30A:
South Shields - Chichester - Tyne Dock - Primrose - Fellgate Estate - Boldon Asda - East Boldon Metro - Cleadon Pond - Harton Nook - South Shields.
Services 30 and X20 combined to provide a hourly circular service in both directions.

*New* X4: Sunderland - Fulwell The Grange - Witherwack - Red House - North Hylton Road - Hylton Castle - Town End Farm - Downhill - Boldon Asda - Gateshead High Street - Newcastle.
This service will provide the North of Sunderland with direct links to Gateshead and Newcastle. It will also reinstate the link from the North to the Monkwearmouth Hospital. The service will operate hourly and will combine with service X34 to provide a every 30 minute service between Boldon and Newcastle.
