Small change have the X24/X34 serve Market Street instead of pilgrim street to improve reliability
Withdrawn 6/7 and 8, extend X87/X88 from Newbiggin Hall via Westerhope/West Denton to Metrocentre. Already enough services to Kingston Park and Gosforth, passengers could just change buses at Gosforth to go to Fawdon and Four Lane Ends.

So sever links from the likes of Kingston Park, Kenton, Fawdon, Gosforth to Metrocentre and Freeman in order to create zero new links?  No one is going to use the X87/X88 from Newcastle to go via the delights of Cowgate, Blakelaw and Newbiggin Hall to Metrocentre, when they can go direct on the 100.  Great plan.
Service 8: This service will be reduced to operate every 60 minutes, although service 18 will be revised to serve South Hylton and High Barnes to continue the every 30 minutes frequency. Both services will follow a circular route which will replicate the current 18 service. Route Map plan at the end of plan.

Service 10: This service will lose one morning journey to Grangetown, and one afternoon journey to Pennywell. This will only occur on School days.

Service 10A: This service will replace service 18A operating one am & one pm journey. This service will only operate on School days. Additionaly the service will commece on Fordfield Road, and will only operate between Pennywell, Pallion, Grindon, Thorney Close, Durham Road and Grangetown.

Service 18: This service will be revised to combine with service 8, although will lose some sections of route. The service will continue the hourly frequency, however the route will be as followed:

Route 8 Map (South Hylton - The Broadway - High Barnes - Royal Hospital - Chester Road - Sunderland City Centre - Roker Park - Seaburn Morrisons - Fulwell, The Grange - Southwick - Pallion - Royal Hospital - High Barnes - The Broadway - South Hylton)

Route 18 Map (South Hylton - The Broadway - High Barnes - Royal Hospital - Pallion - Southwick - Fulwell, The Grange - Seaburn Morrisons - Roker Park - Sunderland City Centre - Chester Road - Royal
Hospital - High Barnes - The Broadway - South Hylton)

PVR of service 8/18 (3) - PVR reduced by 1.

With the rumours of Stagecoach Sunderland changes taking place in May, a mention of a new service was included in the post.

Anyone know anymore information about this?, its going to be interesting to see if it another services which leaves Sunderland.

Hopefully the Metrocentre so my predication would be:

X14 - Sunderland - Hospital - Hastings Hill - Gateshead - Metrocentre (using the Centrelink)

Monday to Saturday - Hourly with the first bus from Sunderland at 7:30am - last bus from Metrocentre at 7:30pm.

If its a local route, i just can't see where the route could be.

However..

I think the 18 will be completely withdrawn with the 2 buses from the 18 replacing the Darts.

The route from the 18 will continue to be served by other services:

Gilley Law - 3
Springwell/Thorney close - 23
Grindon - service 16 (although Gleneagles road will lose its only regular service)
Pennywell - 8/20 and GNE 39
Pallion/Hospital - 8/10/11/16/20/X24.. GNE 2/2A/8A/35/39/78
Southwick - 3,4,12,13,16
Seaburn - E1,E2,E3 - (23 Dene Estate area)
Sunderland City Centre - A variety of services

Yup, they used to run Metrocentre services years ago, sure it was the M39, M40 and M41.
Is this confirmed?

Running any route down the centre link is lost copacity
Could route it the same way as the 100 from Gateshead Interchange

That's a better Idea than the centre link

Does the 100 still do Redhugh Bridge-A184-A1 or did they change it
Could change the Saturday running of x34 with an alternative x34A service that runs to metro centre from Gateshead instead of Newcastle.

Normally, the 100 does one of the following:
- Redheugh Bridge> A184 >Derwentwater Road > Clockmill Road

- Redheugh Bridge > A184 > A1 > Dunston Rd > Wellington Road

- Redheugh Bridge > A184 > A1 > Hollinside Rd >St Michael's Way (if some runs still call at House of Fraser)

- Redbeugh Bridge > Askew Road West > Teams Street > Clockmill Road
