how easy is it to get to by public transport?
Wilkinson Travel in South Shields used to take their 1984 Tiger coach to the event, but aren't doing it this year, and this is the first year I have the day off and don't know how else to get there?
thanks

Impossible to get to by public transport.
There's a trip being hosted by Stagecarriage. Pick up points at Middlesbrough, Stockton, Darlington and Bishop Auckland.

Carlisle to Settle railway calls at Kirkby Stephen, but no idea what the Easter arrangements are for trains/line closures.
My future manager has sent me a request on Facebook. Had to do a quick spring clean to make sure that nothing potentially embarrassing was on my profile

One great feature of Facebook. Nobody knows you're online until you accept their request!

In Carlisle past 2100 you're likely to get shot or stabbed!

WCR are now saying that all trains will run but with another operator.
West Coast Railways - Important Passenger Information
" However all trips remain unaffected and will run as normal under licence of another operator, using the same vintage Mk2 carriages, passengers will not be affected and all schedules including the Jacobite will continue as normal, should there be any changes to services passengers will be notified in advance. "
Will have to keep an eye out for a VSTP tomorrow morning.

Makes a mockery of the ban, if they can just run them under someone else's licence. It's a bit like a footballer being banned, then being fielded under someone else's player registration documents.

Is all that to do with the SPAD near Swindon recently?

Seems to be more to do with the (lack of) management response to the incident than the incident itself

It would be interesting to see what would happen if it was a toc, awarded a contract by the government.
I imagine it would be a lot more difficult to suspend operations or pass to a 3rd party, if the same happened with FGW as an example.

7527's power sockets, either not turned on or not working at all!
(I would've alerted the driver, but it was 6 minutes late when I got on so I think he had more important things to do...)

Also thanks to the prized walker for almost knocking me out by slamming the door shut in my face.
House of Fraiser if your door doesn't open put a notice on BOTH SIDES OF THE DOOR!!! Instead of watching people not being able to open the door and laughing at them!
Yeah everything and everyone is annoying me right now.

We are sorry to announce that the 0822 to Whitby is running approximately 9 minutes late due to overrunning engineering works.

I think G-cptn said a while back, that he couldn't see or subscribe to posts, unless he made a comment in each post.
Some sort of glitch.
