Either way, seeing that it is the 20th anniversary of Radio 1 in Ibiza - makes me feel old/is annoying me
Anything which triggers a nostalgic memory from the 80's or 90's, then realising around 20-30 years have passed since, makes me feel old.
I feel like I'm over the hill already in some respects. Youth is definitely wasted on the young.

Remember when we had Radio 1 Roadshows, rather than the Big Weekend?

Yup. I think Radio 5 had them for a while shortly after airing. I remember going to Alton Towers when I was young and grabbing loads of Radio 5 merch when I was there.

I certainly can.
Often saw them around the country over the summer. Ditto the Big Breakfast roadshows.
I'm bored, and cannot motivate myself to do things to allivate the boredom..... vicious circle.

Talking of Roadshows does local radio still do them

No idea to be honest. Certainly can't think of any that have been mentioned on the radio recently.
Like Radio 1, I imagine they maybe do it over a night or two in one location (the arena?).

I used to go all over following Metro Roadshows mostly Alan Robson, and later Wayne..Me and Alan goes back nearly 20 years
Went to Amsterdam with them twice too...I will never see days the likes of that again, me getting robbed on the ferry(not really funny, I laugh anout it now though) Wayne losing his passport, I told him he might be deported back to Holland while the authorities ascertained his identity(which gave me a good laugh)...He got me back big time over the next 12 months...
On the radio he said I was 'A 21 year old mammys boy with mild tourettes who snored like a road drill who constantly burped and farted and kept him awake all night' a while later in Blu Bambu he happily told the whole Club 'He aint just chunky round the waist...she'll tell you, they went all night' I had all kinds of drunken riff raff wanting to shake my hand.
The worst one was in Amsterdam he talked me into visiting someone, I had too much to drink and smoke, he gave me some Jelly Viagra and co-erced me into doing it otherwise he would tell everybody about my 'brewers droop' so I did to spare myself the embarrasment...
He's a bastard really lol
Having to physically jump out of the way of some ignorant old prick on a mobility scooter. Hate the bloody things, had many near incidents with them.
Also the family taking a week to decide what drinks they want and can't seem to grasp the concept of 2 for £1. And of course service 5A being late as ever.

I'm in Darlington, that's probably why I am so annoyed.
I have actually gone a few days without posting my annoyances but sadly normal service has been resumed it seems.

A few people like seeing me get annoyed about nowt, it's not just you.
Can't breathe on the Metro because a lad sitting next to me in nothing but shorts and a high viz jacket absolutely stinks.
Can't decide if the windows being open is helping get rid of the stench or if it is just circulating the sweaty smell in our area.
On the bright side - it's running on-time..!
I know I'm a day late due to being away - but the new American/US Airways really annoyed me yesterday.
I was flying PVR - PHX with them on US482 before connecting onto BA288. First of all, I was told that the queue clearly labelled 'bag drop' was for first class. Then, I got on and was sat in the second overwing exit on the A320. We were told to expect turbulence. During the usual bumps just after take off, the panel that you have to remove to open the hatch fell off the hatch in front of the one I was sat next to! Heart was in my mouth a little bit but the guy just shoved it back on! Then, I was in need of the loo. It was a 2h45 flight. The pilot said we should have the seatbelt sign switched off, but we would have to fly near some massive clouds. Anyway, for the entire flight, the seatbelt sign was on. People were getting up anyway to use the loo. I was nice enough to ask the crew if I could use the loo and got a rude response, which was basically no. We had very few bumps during the flight and the whole thing really annoyed me!
Flying back on a good old 744 of BA, we had worse bumps and no seatbelt sign on. And when it did come on, the chop was quite impressive at times. I sometimes think pilots are slightly too cautious with the belt up sign... Needless to say, as soon as we landed at PHX, I ran to the loo on the plan despite the fact we were taxiing! I have taken quite a dislike to US Airways...

Three of the reasons I hate flying. Turbulence, over-cautiousness, and people that make 4 or 5 trips to the toilet on a couple of hours flight.
I've once done Bristol to Newcastle on easyjet, and I don't think the seatbelt warning came off for the entire trip. It was around November time, perhaps the worst flight I've had, and funnily enough - the last.

I had some hellish turbulence with AeroMexico, but there was literally a couple of bumps on this flight. It was horrendous, no one could use the toilet. The US people seem to do their own thing and just go anyway, but it really irritated me. I flew BA then American Eagle out and American Eagle were really cool. I think the ground incompetence must be a merger issue, but the pilot was just so cautious...

It's not so missing one, my partner and my best pal are both going to this event (non bus) in Manchester, and they haven't even asked me if I wanted to come along. I know I can't make it, but it would be nice if they would ask me.

I do have an interest in aviation, it's strange because I love the different liveries of planes, how majestic they look in the sky, but I have a strange hatred of flying itself. A mixture of post-9/11 worrying, long journey times and that god awful crap they call airline food. jet2 are terrible in my opinion, flying back to Newcastle with them on Thursday.
I arrived at my bus stop this morning 5 minutes before the bus was due, and there was only one other man at the stop, as the bus approached, a few older women (they had concessionary passes) arrived. I stood up as I saw the bus approaching, along with the man who was there before I was. I let the man on the bus before me as he'd been at the bus stop before, just general manners really, before the group of women decided that they couldn't wait and pushed onto the bus before me. Bearing in mind this was a double decker bus, so there were plenty of seats,I found this quite annoying. Had it been me and a group of my friends pushing onto the bus, there would be outrage, yet it's perfectly acceptable for a group of women (who weren't actually paying for the service) who arrived 5 minutes after I did to do so?
I'm not a rude person, and I do usually let everyone on the bus before me, and had I the chance I would've let the women on before me as well, I was unable to do this because of the way they pushed in front. You may read this and think "what's he going on about, why is he annoyed, he was going to let them on anyway" I'm not annoyed about that, it was the fact that they pushed, and had I done the same (not that I ever would) they'd want me sentenced.
Experiencing a few problems with my iPod and iTunes tonight.
EDIT: problem resolved [emoji2]

Bugs me, this does. At least when big'un's with me we get to mutually mutter to each other about how rude some people are. And it is almost always women of early buspass age. Men rarely seem to do the same (apart from a stinking sexist git I sometimes see around who seems to make a point of being as discourteous to women and younger people as he possibly can - and not just on buses - he swore at me, once, for waiting
on the left at the top of the stairs in Durham marketplace because that was the way he wanted to go.)
Edited because my phone is adding to my annoyances.
It's peeing down so we had to change plans for the day.
Nearly abandoned everything and knocked heads together.
Millburngate bridge was slower than ever. Stuck on a steamy bus with a poor little girl terrified and travelsick. Suspect her parents were wishing they had bothered.
Only just made it onto the x12. 7610. The flaming door alarm goes off as soon as anyone presses the bell.
I have horrendous back ache, today.
At least we haven't had an earthquake lately.
Sick of getting "important" phone calls about me being miss sold PPI. Keep getting them all the time from various different places although one is calling me on a regular basis.
These are the people you want, Jimmi.
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html
I also very plainly say noting more than "take my number off your list" when I get these calls (PPI, solar panels etc) and they hang up sharpish.
My day never got less annoying. Littl'un remained a little so and so - tired, I think. I had to wrestle with him to stop him from pressing the bell buttons in lifts (escalators out of the question as big'un has an aversion to them and my knees can only do so many stairs - and big'un won't do smelly badly ventilated old staircases, anyhow). Got home to a card from Parcelfarce saying I had a package under the hedge. Thankfully it was wine (though I'd had no despatch notification), not cake, because the outer box was pretty soggy and, if it was cake that had been left out in the rain, I don't think that I could have taken it.
Dealt with various kid crap, the odd bathroom flood and so on, since getting home. Found out that some jeans I'd ordered were the wrong size - they came in a long, and I am nothing even resembling long. Finally escaped for a nice relaxing bath to find that there was no shower gel left. There was almost half a pigging bottle when I ran little'un's second bath of the day, this afternoon.
The unexpected wine is going down well.
ITunes and IPod problems again tonight, also laptop has been taking about 45 minutes to install an update and still hasn't finished which is especially annoying as I want to go to bed soon.
Why does all technology hate me?
Well, my laptop basically - Window Explorer has basically stopped working unless my laptop is running in safe mode. So, tonight's task - run it in safe mode and backup all my files plus hopefully some software files just in case it has to be totally reset. What a way to cement the last few weeks as the worse few weeks of my life...........
