Was the wifi working?
It was working yesterday on 5368, but the next stop announcements were out of kilter - either being announced early or not at all.

Not sure I'm afraid. I was catching a few zzz's.
Seeing as I haven't been on a bus since early August, I'm pleased I rode 6060 on the 21 from Chester to Chester Moor today.

Busy Day for me Tomorrow so I might not get a chance to make a Post ahead of Stockton on Sunday as I am supposed to be helping my Dad move House, but instead I am doing his Grocery Shopping for him, as he is having a House Warming Party, this will also give me the chance to do some Bus Spotting also.

My Plan for Sunday is as Follows: Note I might get an Explorer so I can use Arriva/Stagecoach Services from Stockton to Middlesbrough.

09:18 - 21 - Low Fell to Gateshead
10:10 - X10 - Gateshead to Stockton
*Few Hours at Stockton Depot*
Stockton to Middlesbrough
*Hour in Middlesbrough taking Photos*
X10 Middlesbrough to Gateshead
4 Heworth to Washington Galleries
M2/M2A/50 or 2C - Washington Galleries to Lambton

I know Aureolin is going on Sunday also, if anyone wants to join us on the X10, Your more than Welcome to do so.
I'm getting that X10 aswell coming in on the 09:25 27.
Thought I would just get the train from Haltwhistle tomorrow morning straight to Stockton and work it out from there. However at £15.80 no way, even with a Young Persons Railcard!! Even £8.70 just to get to Newcastle (albeit return).
Tried looking at the bus, but with the first one in the morning (leaving here 0938) I don't get there until 1330 - I'd rather not be travelling 8 hours.

Call me stingy (I know it is quite a good distance by train) but I'd rather not - especially after having travelling on the train today, and will be on the Tyne Valley diversions for the next couple of weekends. There'll be next time... Smile

Tyne and Wear Metro ruins an entire day out. Thank you once again, Metro...

Oh god. What happened this time?

Two South Hylton Metros in a row, followed by two South Shields ones.

The first one was packed (must have been about 20 mins late), so I decided to wait the extra 3 mins for the next one. We get chucked off at Pelaw, and that buggers off back to the Airport! Timetable = non existent.

Bear in mind I'm wearing a thin white t-shirt and nothing on top of that - it's quite cold!

But don't worry, an old woman who had too much to drink has just made my day.
I suffered the Metro earlier from Haymarket to Central Station - got to Platform 1 at Haymarket and could barely fit onto the platform! Managed to squeeze onto 4051 but it was alright as there were some attractive ladies on the train too Wink
Well, in 12 hours time, everything will be set up and ready for the doors to open - Stockton Depot Open Day is nearly upon is. Remember, the shuttles start at 11am from Stand 32 in Stockton High Street (outside Iceland/Stagecoach Travel Office - those coming down on the X10 it might be quicker to walk down, unless you are really desperate to have a ride on one of our MAN E300s).

It didn't help me much either. Waited an absolute age for an X1 at the high level bridge, and nowt was coming across, so I ended up getting the 21 to Gateshead.

I did ask the driver of the 21 if he'd seen any X1s when he was at Eldon Square, but you'd think I'd been with his lass the way he spoke to me. Talk about service with a smile!

Police incident on the Metro further dampened my trip home, so once again I was waiting for a bus.
Anyone going out today... Rememeber that the Metros are off between South Hylton and (I think) Brockley Whins!

Coach replacements for the Northern Rail services too.

Hahah!
In school we have a rule of thumb that talking is kept to a minimum until 10:15, to allow enough time for people to wake up and not be so bitey.
I'm horrendous for being ever so blunt on a morning, if I haven't had my 8 hours beauty sleep! Wink

The bus journey was just so exhilerating that I managed to do that!
Thinking about doing another Day Trip at some point with a bit of a Twist to it, Basically what I want to do is Photograph all the Buses that carry a First Group Heritage Livery, as from looking at Photos of Flickr etc they do look Amazing, But I am unsure on where to go to get these Photographs, so I am wondering if anyone has a full list of Vehicles which carry a Heritage Livery and the Depot they are Located at so I can work out where I need to go from there, Any help is Greatly Appreciated.

Couple over in Manchester and a few in Sheffield. At least one in Halifax as mentioned in the Yorkshire bus operations thread. Certainly an ambition that i dont think has been done before. Ill try and have a look for more.
There is indeed some more, and no doubt even more of them that have yet to be discovered, certainly looks like it'll take a few trips to complete.
