Bit of advice for anyone thinking of Hexham - make sure you go on market day as you will get a lot more stuff as weekly services run in from rural areas. Coach park is usually full of Wright Bros, Howard Snaith etc

I think I'll take your advice and give him a spiked cherryade haha.

If he thinks Durham is bad. I'll have to take him to Pennywell where my sister lives! All of her nextdoor neighbours windows got put through last week  Wink

I do, Davie said something about Durham being a shithole...  Wink I know everything me...

Newcastle was more of a shithole when we met, like, I seen a clown walking through the car park towards the metro, then a "mini march" over the bridge, then a hen party alighting off a CrossStinky train...

Is it really your first posts though, or the more recent ones relating to 4852? Wink
Randomly jumping from topics like Hexham to Jaffa Cakes can make me I've gone totally mad and often think I'm misreading this forum.

Always seems to stem towards food as well.
I reckon we really could do with a Food thread...

I once saw a lass in Murton at the bus stop on Wood Terrace with a duck, that was being taking for a walk on real small collar and dog lead Big Grin

Thought I had been smoking the old rastafarian woodbines as I thought I was seeing things

He must have got mixed up with Iceland. Everything in that bloody place is 89p!
Had a great day out in West Yorkshire today - great value with the Family WY Dayrover just £11.70 for 2 (or more) people across the whole WY area on bus and train (not valid on train between 1601-1829 now!).
Went to have a look at our Tiger brands in operation and see how the transformation is coming on. Have to say I was very impressed with how it is going. Few tired (that's an understatement!) R/S-reg Solos around the Halifax operation but they are due for replacement very soon with new Solos sighted at Optare...

Might go to Costa del Middlesbrough in the next holidays. What operators operate down there?

In Middlesbrough you have:

Abbots of Leeming (X80 to Northallerton)
Arriva
Croft Coach Travel (Town Rider services TR1/TR2)
Go North East (X7, X9/X10)
Leven Valley
Stagecoach

You then also have Megabus, National Express and National Holidays services too.

Did you have any jaffa cakes, seems to be on tbe enthusiasts lists as of late
Just thinking, with my planned Explorer on Saturday - does the Explorer give me platform access to Newcastle Central? As in, through the ticket barriers and full-access. I have an inkling I will be able to, seeing as I can use it on the Sunderland-Blaydon Line, but I just thought to check. Smile

Might try and get a few photos of the 91s and 43s in their new liveries.
