The traffic light was on green, but the driver was letting traffic coming off Springwell road go past, by the time he'd walked past the last car had gone and I didn't have enough time to get a rear shot.

How was he to know that you were wanting a photograph of the bus going past? He has a right to walk on the public footpath just as much as you or I. You can't try and suggest that he should walk behind you just to suit you.

I think he may have known, why else would I have the camera on my phone aimed at a bus?

How many people walk past you and notice that you're photographing something? Most people don't even notice you're there, let alone what you're doing. He could have easily mistaken you aiming your phone as something else.
People do it to me, and I'm pointing a DSLR...
It's just one of those things. People will just go about their business, and not even realise they've walked in front of you. However, i do find it happens less, if you stand closer to the kerb.

I was quite close to the kerb, I was about 1 &1/2 foot away from it!

people do have a right to walk anywhere including "Arnold"s Fire escape" the guy i was referencing that episode from Hey Arnold where Helga Sleepwalks and she ends up on Arnold's Fire Escape

I personally wouldn't, but most people couldn't care less whether your taking a photo or not.
i agree people have to walk somewhere including "Arnold's Fire escape"

Can I say what a ridiculous idea it is to have no windows towards the back of StreetLites. The icing on my M&S muffins melted by the time I got back to Ashington!

I agree. 3 windows on a full size bus is crazy. Even if you do open them, you'll get oaps sitting at the front, who'll close them.
Have you noticed all the bells are on one side too?

Arriva's have 4 windows I think? but still all of them are right at the front of the bus though. Think Arriva's have bells on both sides unlike the Go North East examples.

4 windows two per each side. I was roasting, I had to bail out at Ashington and wait there few a few minutes to cool down.
There are too many bells on Arriva's examples. There are three for just the area where the plastic seats are at the front!

It annoys me, too, since most of the buses I catch are streetlites! I think it must be a H&S things, since the top of the rear windows is so low compared with passengers' heads, but it's a killer on a hot summer day, when someone really smelly sits near you.
And agree about too many bells. Didn't care about that until littl'un developed his bell obsession, over half term, and I had to spend entire journeys holding his hands.
At least on the 7 Pulsar we caught, once we got out of Darlo, there was a seat nowhere near any bells that another passenger helped me to scope out!
Without being indiscreet, the whole of today is annoying me. I've had to abandon ideas of a day out. Instead, I'm tackling some paperwork with much gusto, fuelled by the enormity of my annoyance.
I've been looking at potential secondary schools for littl'un as part of what I'm doing and getting thoroughly depressed with it all.
The icing on the cake is attempting to print out a 20 page prospectus. I set it up in TWINUI, which I wasn't keen on, already, but was prepared to persevere in the light of Adobe's annoyance capabilities.
So, I now have a dozen copies of the first page of the prospectus, which is nothing more than a picture of the school. One of those copies somehow ended up printed out upside down, relative to the rest, with the second page on the back of it.
I've emailed it to husband to print out at work, before I break something. I'm also going to download Adobe reader!

Aren't the majority of Wright bodied single deckers, fitted with 4 opening windows?
I am thinking Solars, Pulsars etc.
Can't remember the Handybus or other variants, but might be worth checking.

All of Arriva's Pulsars apart from the ones delivered for the Sapphire 7 have six windows (three on each side). Sapphire 7 Pulsars have four (two on each side). Don't understand why there isn't windows to open towards the back of the bus especially as it's usually warmer at the back of the bus, I can only assume it may be because of the possible lack of headroom if the windows are open.
Was getting the 88 bus home and this woman says there are people behind you I was there before she was then I heard her say weirdo I didn't say nowt but I knew she was trying to cut que

Thieves slammed for stealing lifeline computer from Sunderland special school
The thieves also trashed the place and stole children's medications - sick bastards, the computer/tablet which was stolen is expensive, basiccly its a lifeline for the young children, the tablet allows the children to tell the teacher/teaching assistant if they're thirsty, in pain etc ... i do hope they get it back.
Low life scum.

I took a pair of poor photos of Go North East's 8266 on the 58, but I'm sick of the crap I've had from uploading them to Facebook!

Those AAP devices cost an absolute fortune! Selfish gits.
Must admit, though, that's a perfect teacher representation of a sadface. It can't just be a sadface. It's a dismayedface.

It's best to be the better person, particularly with someone so outrageously unreasonable that they'll pick a fight with you, then make derogatory comments (which makes it not particularly hard to be the better person!)
