Some Facebook groups are getting on my nerves, another painful one was over this photo: https://flic.kr/p/LhPJJv with arguments saying it's not DDA / PSVAR, ALL vehicles on normal service work should now comply... WRONG! But they wouldn't have it so it went on and on and on for a whole day until I lost it and pointed out he was talking guff.

Wonder what they would be saying if that bus driver was for working for GNE...?? Bet they wouldn't be telling you to take it down then.

And yeah people who won't admit they're wrong and are so arrogant about stuff annoy me too

What has someone else's driving standards got to do with you?

Honestly, I really do despair...

I've never been on any of the facebook groups and hope to keep it that way. There seems to be more petty discussions than facts. In fact, from what I've heard - there's a complete absence of fact!

A lot of stanley drivers have said they [D.diamond Citaros] have poor MPG, often not quoting. The few who did stated 4 or 5MPG.
The bendy buses were reported as even worse by the same drivers.
I was also reliably informed that the low MPG is the reason why the aircon belt was removed in these vehicles. Sometimes the driver turns it on, you feel air - but not cold air.

Rigid Citaros get between 7 and 8 MPG.

Streetlite Micro-Hybrids between 10 and 11.

It's any form of Internet site though, you can get it on anywhere although Facebook in general can be bad for it, not just in groups either. At the same time though not all reactions from people on them are bad, was pleased to get some positive comments for this photo: https://flic.kr/p/MmKnMM at the same time as I was getting hounded for the other photo last night.

Last night was just ridiculous, it really did feel like I was the one who was in the wrong for this, first comment was "don't show the police this photo" then same person followed with something like "Matthew Jimmison please delete this photo from the group to avoid causing any further problems, we don't want [DRIVER NAME] or A-line to get into trouble over this photograph" really this guilt tripped me into deleting it from the group, well that and I was sick of my phone going off every 5 minutes whilst I was trying to watch Red Dwarf. It ended with me thinking, if the wrong person sees this, they'll get into trouble and then I'll be the one who gets grief for uploading the offending photo if the driver (or A-line) get into trouble over it, I did check my Flickr stats and noticed that I had views of the photo on my Flickr from Facebook and I had two thoughts in my head as to why I had the two views, the first being the standard "it'll just be for the bus" but the other was "Oh God, more comments over the driving."

The whole thing has just left me feeling peed off as I hate the feeling that I've done something bad especially when I've seemingly done nothing wrong which I didn't as it was just me doing the usual which is snap the bus then be on my way. I had a bit of issues getting the photo owing to the times of the MB2 not fitting in well with the plan I made for the day, the original plan was to catch it at the start point at Chester-le-Street, South Burns but in order to achieve this, I needed my X14 from Thropton to arrive in Newcastle on-time at 17:16 to catch the 17:20 X21 but sure enough we got stuck in traffic on the A1 at Seaton Burn which resulted in us arriving in Newcastle late, I knew that I could catch either the 17:26 21 or 17:30 X12 to Birtley so I could catch it there, so I opted for the X12 on the basis it stops less and the 21 was late and made it with time to spare. At around 18:15 I started to fear it was not going to show but fortunately it did. The de-tour for this photo resulted in me getting home 30 minutes later although the late arrival in Newcastle probably would have made me miss the previous 7 at around 18:15 anyway. I didn't stand outside Nisa for 20 odd minutes waiting to photograph it only to not upload it, getting some strange looks in the process, Nisa was selected as the junction provided a gap for the low sun to shine through rather than having shadows covering the bus, that proved slightly problematic as a car wanted to be out as the bus came up the road but thankfully got out before then and two people stood in the way but were picked up before the bus came.

So with all this in mind, you can kinda see why I'm annoyed by it. The hobby is starting to become more trouble than it's worth at this point, so that's something I will need to address to avoid the situation becoming worse, possibly a break.

Think most know the driver, he wouldn't get into trouble as he wouldn't do what he did if it wasn't safe.
I'm not entirely sure whether the individual in question is a member, but I know others are friends with him. One of the conditions of this thread is that we will not use it to raise grievances with other members.

That being said, I think we'll leave this conversation right there.
Got too many flickr pictures which aren't renamed.
Some mug in McDonald's in Blackburn who decided to bully their way in front of me in the queue. [emoji19]

Wasn't totally impressed with the fries or customer service in this branch either.
Ludworth Primary School.

My Mrs moved back to Murton in the Summer, we put the bairn on the list for Murton Ribbon School, there is not any places at present, so we got in touch with DCC Education Dept. who told us to give her elective home schooling(I think it is called) as the bairn has no rights to goto Ludworth, as we are out of it's catchment area, so we have plodded on with home schooling.

Yesterday we got a visit from the Head at Ludworth and The School Nurse enquiring why the little'un has been at School as she is now past the amount of time for where we could be fined, the Head claims to not have known about us taken the little'un out of Ludworth or spoke to the education dept. despite Mrs F writing to the school, the head is conteadicting herself anyway, how did she know where we lived, Education has our details and they claim not to have the letter that was written to school.

Next the School Nurse chimes in saying she wants to see little'un as she was at Mrs F's mothers, Nurse asks if she can pop round to catch the bairn, the missus says no as she tried to ring her folks 3 times with no answer, Mrs tells the School Nurse to pop back on Monday for a chat, this nurse then tells us she is not the lead professional for the bairn as it is a different (what was she doing here if that is the case)...

This Nurse has a stinking attitude towards my Missus, about 3-4 months ago she accused my Missus of being a bad mother, that the bairn was morbidly obese and threatened her with Social Services, anyway back to yesterday, The Nurse and Headteacher gets back to school, where the Head and Nurse accuse us of being Obstructive and Standoffish in that we were not letting them see the bairn. The Nurse went through with her threat made months ago and got onto Social Services, as Social Services are not open on a weekend, we ended up with the polis at the door this morning for what seemed like a welfare check. The Polis has said we have nothing to worry about and they said she dealt with it wrong, she should have went to the Education Dept. First and told them(how true that policy is I dont know), The Polis pretty much told us it was a waste of there time, anyway the Polis ended up meeting the little'un at Mrs F's Parents and were happy with what they saw

I have mental health problems and a real problem of paranoia, seeing the Polis on my doorstep makes me really paranoid.

If I had not have been at home when they came, they would of went to Town on the Missus and verbally tag teamed her as well...

I get paranoid that my Mental Health Problems, On a treatment programme(despite going 4-5 weeks totally clean) with the fact I was in Care as a kid and worry it will be used against me...

I know one thing, only over my dead, cold body will that Nurse ever get back into this house, if she does come back Monday, I will take the bairn to the door and make the Nurse look her over on the doorstep...

I am insulted, very angry, it is embarrasing and humiliated being told were not good parents...

Rant over lol

Both the A1 and A19 being shut south of Teesside / County Durham.
Getting into arguments with drivers everytime I get on the Q3, because for some reason my key card no longer works on that service. I buy the North Tyne Saver every week and despite getting confirmation from GNE that my ticket is valid, the drivers seem to think they know otherwise.

The Authorities are doing my head in at the moment...

We had little'un's old head and school nursr out on Friday, the Police on Saturday, now Social Services is on the case...

Basically the school nurse has something against Mrs F. she had a proper at Stacey a few months ago because of my daughters weight and that she is morbidly obese, yes, she is stocky, but has about a good 5"-6" on the average kid her age, and her BMI is perfectly does not come anywhere close to morbid obesity...

Seems like everyone is trying to take a swipe at me at the moment [CRYING FACE]

Concerned that my heart is going to give out, been having slight pains in that area since I came back from the gym on Wednesday night which was the first time I had been in over a month and I didn't exactly take it easy. I'm really worried that something is going to happen, hopefully it turns out to be nothing but I am quite scared at what could happen... That said, that shoulder is in a slight bit of pain as well.
On the way to Liverpool but stuck going nowhere on the M62. Not amused but nothing can be done, sadly [emoji19]

I'm in Liverpool for a gig.

I think I'm getting worse, think I am going to have to act in some form soon, got exhausted getting up and down the stairs in this hotel so Lord knows what 3-4 hours at a gig is going to do, plus I have one tomorrow night in Newcastle and another on Monday.

I'm 22, it's bad that I think something is seriously wrong with me...

With all your woes, I think it's more likely a bit of health anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder Jimmi. The physical symptoms can be very strong.

Still worth getting checked out tho but I wouldn't worry too much.

These symptoms came indicate something as basic as iron deficiency anaemia

Here's hoping it's nothing. May steer clear of the gym next week though as that's what set it off.
Planning application gone in for some "prestigious" housing behind ours. I'd be meh about this if it wasn't for their plans for access to the site. In short, the greedy git who made the application has a bloody cheek.

New access road to go in or something? How many are they looking to build?

I'm not sure what they mean by "prestigious" housing, but I won't hold my breath about it tackling the issue of lack of affordable housing...  Undecided

Demolishing an end terrace to widen an existing road. The owner had some pretty dire tenants in that terrace for a couple of years, but this is a bit of a two fingers up, really.

And I did ask which of the 4 and 5 bedroom homes were going to be the affordable housing in the development - only 13 houses, but there's a road on the plans which is clearly intended to lead to more. The original outline in the county Durham plan had a completely different site for the access road on already cleared land. And 90 houses. Did I mention the bit about having to wait 2 weeks for a GP appointment and the local primary now having a bulge class? Or the fact that out of the 15 luxury homes recently built at the end of our street, while they've vastly improved the appearance of the entrance to the village from the derelict site with occasional campers and their associated mess, there's usually at least 3 up for sale - at less than they were originally marketed for.

I don't condone drink driving at all, but surely there needs to be common sense applied or at least take in to account the mitigating circumstances?

Why? Did someone hold a gun to his head and force him to drink drive. He could easily have ruined someone else's life.

Of course he could have done. That's why I said I didn't condone it.

What I am saying, is that in the circumstances (a victim of domestic violence), a little bit more compassion may have been shown by the magistrate.
I am aware of a number of other cases, where the punishment has been a lot less - despite injury and death being caused by the driver.

One mistake made in a pretty difficult period of his life, has cost him his career.
