The driver of the 592 using yx61bju decided to ternamate at fullwell grange and he was 10 minutes early he had 592 on the screen then turned it to nis but what will those passengers that need gladstone street from seaburn metro? This was the first trip around 1635 at fullwell grange
Raise your concerns with the operator in question. It could have been an operational decision due to road closures or whatnot? Who knows.
As I was driving home yesterday passing the Tyne & Wear LGV place on the A184 there was what appeared to be a red Plaxton Primo in there, along with various GCT deckers (and there was a Solo the other day) - possibly a new addition to the GCT fleet?

I dont know about the primo but yy15gdk has been covering a solo on the 515/58 so im guessing the solo you seen probalys is vor this is a random guess but the primo might be for when they get the 68

The location next to Tyne & Wear LGV is Hoddys where PSV / MOT tests are carried out. I noticed a few of the Tridents have been missing from the GCT depot this week and I assume that they are taking advantage of the school holidays to have work done on the vehicles.

It may have been last week (it may not like - weeks seem to be blurring in to one these days), but I noted one of the orange Trident's heading south on the A1.
Had my first proper ride out on the Bluebird today on the 23, I hate driving to the Galleries on the weekend and the 23 Is the best option for getting to Washington from the East and North East of Birtley (I also find the 82 a torturous experience)

The driver was very friendly, knew his regulars and was extremely accommodating.

I'm not a huge fan of the BB. I like to see out the front (the car driver in me) and at 6'3, seated I can't see out of the front of the Bluebird. I felt very claustrophobic throughout. The onboard radio provided a nice distraction to the awful NSA on the 21 that I'm used to.

The BB much like every bus really struggled on Long Bank not quite Waggonway bad but we slowed to a crawl outside the 1st tee at Ravensworth Golf Club. The bus was surprisingly fully loaded. The 23 Is a nice route out but a struggle to enjoy in what is basically a van

I find Bluebirds quite nippy, Though there torturous after half a hour on one.
Isnt the other board on the 23 operated by JH Buses using a Plaxton Primo? That might have been a bit more comfortable.

It is. I only ever seem to catch the GCT boards. Makes a change from the Solos mind.

It might be my height but I find the whole thing a bit too small...it's got an airport park and ride bus feel about it

Dose anyone know what will be used on 68

I assume a solo, possibly a bluebird. Probably not the E200 with it not being Nexus branded

There's no stipulation for buses to carry Nexus livery in the new contracts.

If I'm reading this right, that means the resisdents of Bill Quay are losing their bus service? Also the route serves Fisherwell Road/Gosforth Terrace which if you know the area is quite a steep bank to get to main part of Pelaw so any elderely resisdents living down there are once again suffering losing their bus link(I believe this also happened in the past which caused outraged and I think GNE re-instated the link but I stand corrected on that one).

Either way a new operator and cuts to the route all ready... Good Start.   Rolleyes

It might be that the TB529 could cover the part no longer served? I think I can remember that happened with the Woods Green section when the 68 was operated by Veolia. The 68 has a very tight schedule as it is, to be honest, with a journey around midday being curtailed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in order to avoid late running affecting the whole day.

It's secured work. The route and timetable is set by Nexus.

A Fiat Bluebird.

What sort of taxi?

I wasn't paying attention to what make the vehicle is, however, it was a minibus.

When you said it was a taxi, I envisaged a Vauxhall Vectra or something!
Was a vauxhall 8 seater

Insignia these days man. Any Vectra being used as a taxi must be clocking on for 200,000 miles by now.

Imagine that's what they use on TB14 (and occasionally 939)

Why can't they put a bluebird on the 939
