Maybe if penalties were issued on the basis of whether tracking showed the bus operating, it might focus minds at the operator into fixing the tracking .....
Mind you, that would require Nexus to actually care enough to want to actually get value for the money they're spending!

Yeah seen it the other day passing by and just thought that's the board that's not running so clicked on it must be that. It's the usual allocation as GCT seems to allocate the same buses on the same boards every day.

Aye totally agreed, or anyone really, since it's illegal not to have tracking nowadays especially for over 2 weeks or so.
At least one of the Durham Park and ride buses has received park and ride branding (appears to be the same that the Scarlett band solos had)

I rode E200-MMC YX21RUJ on route 19 last Tuesday. I think that may have been a former Go North East route.

Changed to gateshead central in march this year
Anyone think its worth complaining to GCT??? went for bus to take me to Old Durham Road and waited at normal stop. Bus coming ( couple of minutes early for a change) and put my hand out. The bus wasn't indicating to stop and if out was speeding up and yes, drove straight passed. Late for work as missed connection.
I might just leave it as it might just be a one off. Funny thing is we use the taxi bit for our staff to get who when on a late so i do know a few of there staff. what do we reckon?

Up to you, but as it's a secured service, you'll need to contact Nexus.

Yeh i just thought that after i pressed send.
I cant understand why he didn't stop. It was a marked bus stop and it and metro replacement stop there. Even if he thought he didn't stop there he could have stopped and said i don't stop here let me on then obviously i would have put he right but to just drive passed......... and its one of the NEXUS services they wanted to cancel due to low user use!!!
Was it dark and were you wearing dark clothing? It's entirely possible the driver didn't see you if dso.

850 in morning. Wasn't wearing illuminist jacket but he should hand in his licence if he didn't see me or my hand. Would care he was 3 minutes early but was flooring it. Was doing 30 plus I think. The problem I have is it's a service nexus says is not being used..... Well they lost my 2 quid and how many other today???
Thats a bit far handing in his license
When they run 11 minutes early and 8 minutes early so you miss a nexus secured service...
One driver told me I was lying until I showed him bustimes.org tracker
He was fuming as he said we will lose the route ... I showed him evidence of trying to ring gct too
He actually stopped his bus at the terminus where I got off rang the gaffa and asked him to look into it and who was driving and said openly said I can't defend that maybe a late bus but not an early bus by 11mins on that route even taking one estate out is 6mins but he went round it!

I’ve tried to contacting Nexus about missing journeys but they aren’t interested they told me to contact GCT. The one thing I would say though the drivers are all spot on and really decent people compared to others.

I've had that before. Point them to their own complaints charter:
https://www.nexus.org.uk/nexus-complaints-charter
The last bullet point in the first section states that you should contact them with
"Enquires or complaints regarding bus services funded by Nexus."

But do you have a mysterious leg injury that you 'don't like talking about'?

No doubt brought on by all the walking he did between Marlborough Crescent and the Haymarket back in the 80s.

Does anyone know where about James Bolam is standing when this is filmed...I can remember a gentleman telling me years ago it was somewhere in Gateshead ( obviously the actual street is no longer there) ,

Before the interchange and other various civic buildings were erected in Central Gatehsead, it was occupied by rows of streets with terraced housing, not unlike Walker Terrace and Regent Terrace which survive as examples.
While I don't know the exact location, the housing stock does look similar so I'd guess it would be around there - if filmed Gatehsead.

Ah ok, I know the house in Get Carter ( Michael Caine coming out of with nothing on but a gun ) is still there.

I think in the back of my mind, I knew the location was either Byker, Walker, or Wallsend so I've either read that article before or someone has told me. However, I wasn't 100% sure so I didn't want to outright dismiss Gatehsead as the location as filming did definitely take place in the borough (A house at the end of Delacor Road in Blaydon provides the location for Terry's sister's house, for example).

after weeks/months of using GCT to get to work from my new penthouse the last two weeks the operator has been a bit "sketchy" to say the least. Last week the bus drives past me at the bus stop. Friday once again got my hand out and he has to slam on the breaks to stop and then gave me such a funny look as if i was in the wrong. Then this morning the bus wasn't tracking on bus times and didn't turn up at all. I found out it was due to a puncture
