Just hope that everyone isn't waiting until Saturday, don't fancy the thought of loads of enthusiast's being stood at the same place at the same time, especially at Hexham where there isn't a great deal of places to stand around the bus station, was bad enough having one being in Eldon Square at the same time as me this evening.

I'm up Hexham on Thursday, Saturday I'm otherwise engaged because it's the season 6 premiere of MLP.

Difference is the X21 serves two big interchange points, where as the Tynedale Links don't.

I've managed two photos of the X21, despite having not been out for photos, since they were introduced into service. Just happened to catch them before and after work, serving one of the said interchange points. Smile

Same as what happened on the tours of Shiremoor and Tynemouth the other day, some bloke with a tash follows people around lol....

This is the only mention of the new AD122 they've made recently which was last Thursday and it's one of the older Solo's with a new paint job, not even said anything about Tynedale Links.

Or will it be like my journey on the X21 on Monday where they scoff food down and then leave the rubbish on the bus, they left the table opposite me in a right state, food wrappings and apples just left there. Was ashamed to be on the same bus as them!

I'm struggling to decide whether to do Hexham or Metro Replacements tomorrow.

Metro Replacements, try walking between Tynemouth and Cullercoats stations, you can get some canny shots.

Aye I'll try that. I'll leave 2 hours or so for metro replacements around Tynemouth and cullercoats.
I'll do Hexham on Saturday

I'd go with Metro Replacements tomorrow. Hexham would be better to do after tomorrow when the AD122 starts.

My plan is to ride the AD122 on Saturday and do the 681 and X81 to Hexham on the return. Sure is a interesting few weeks coming for photographs

Which AD122 are you getting? I'm getting the 11:10 from Hexham where I will be able to snap the AD122, 185, 682 and 685 within the 40 odd minutes I'm in Haltwhistle.

The 15:10 off Hexham to Haltwhistle and a 15 min wait for the 681 to Alston, get a photo of the solo in Alston then the same bus on the X81 to Hexham. I'm hoping I have nice drivers because if their early I might get a photo en route.
I'm planning to have 2 hours in Hexham for photographs from 13:00 to 15:10

Ah right, nice.

I'll be back in Hexham just after 13:20. Feel free to say hi if you see me.

I'm looking forward to it.

I will do, you'll be the fourth forum member I've met.
Wasn't sure where to ask this.

I've photographed the Virgin Trains East Coast 'Flying Scotsman' twice in just over a week. Tomorrow I am thinking of uploading a photo of it to my Flickr but I am confused as to what to title it as because in my two photos it's showing the number 82205 down the side I've photographed it from, so do I put the title as 82205, 91101 or both?

So 82205 is the DVT with no engine in it, as opposed to 91101 which has the engine in it.

Normally heading to London the 82xxx is at the front and Scotland bound have the 91xxx at the front. So heading south the train is getting pushed and to Scotland it is getting pulled Tongue

Thanks. When I first photographed it in Darlington it was heading to Scotland and 82205 was at the back, so I'm guessing that's what I should put as my title?

My understanding of trains is terrible!
If I'm uploading my photo to facebook, I do a description that tells a story rather then what I do on Flickr (info based)

For example, if the train was travelling towards the camera I would say.
Class 91 loco 91101 leads it's train through such and such.

If the loco is going is going away from the camera...
Class 91 loco 91102 propels the train towards London at random location.

For DVTs, I usually say DVT 82225 brings up the rear of it's train as it heads North at location or DVT 82222 leads it's train to the south being propelled by 91103 (If the loco is known).
