6340 was showing on bustimes on Country Ranger 78 at 19.20 . Not on 30 mins later. I can only assume someone realised the mistake with the low bridge on the new route and quickly replaced it!

It was only on for a minute or so.

Someone realised the mistake at Consett bus station or some mischevious messing about ??

I've been to the Galleries and JH are way cheaper.
As somebody once asked rhetorically "We tell the traffic commissioner each stop and route variation the bus call at, but do we tell the drivers?"
Not sure why, but it's not too uncommon for buses to apparently track as one service when they're actually NIS

Another backdated example, also the 78: https://bustimes.org/vehicles/40087?date=2022-07-20#
And another for a deadrun between Stanley and CLS showing 21: https://bustimes.org/vehicles/39821?date=2022-07-18
Anyone know why the 81 and 83 are two separate routes? From what I can see on bus times they always interwork at the galleries and follow the same route from there to barmston. Why not have it be the 81 throughout with some journeys extended to Sunderland on Sundays. That would remove the 83 as having the 83 and 83A which operate completely different routes (except the galleries) at different times of day.

And according to facebook the first 29 of the day to newcastle either left earlier than planned or didnt turn up at all.

The first 29 of the day had its wing mirror knocked off by a HGV that didn’t stop - so did operate, but only as far as Kibblesworth, as the driver couldn’t continue without his offside mirror.

Andreos will be delighted to hear tales of woe regarding missing mirrors.

You're making it up? I thought wing mirror issues were stuff of days gone by? Didn't realise they still happened!

I remember the first time you shared the tales of woe of missing wing mirrors.
Seemed to be an almost daily occurrence at one stage! Whether it be 71s or 20s. Whenever the was any reported issues, it seemed to be down to problematic wing mirrors.

Take it you didn't see this on Twitter two weeks ago:

Woah! I didn't.
Almost as spectacular as the wing mirror incident on 7157 in April!

I aim to please. I knew a story of a mirror incident would make your day.

Still as common now as they were back in the days of #missingpurplesolars.

Would GNE ever get the mirrorless buses, like the EYMS E400MMC's?
So if I've read the timetables correctly, the 84/85 is now only hourly on an evening after around 6.30pm/7pm? That's absolutely shocking if true! So in just over a year we've gone from 4 buses an hour during the day to 3 and now from 2 buses an evening to 1! That's just pathetic! Thank God I have a car as I really pity anyone relying on transport these days!

Bustimes takes its data from Ticketer. Drivers selecting trips in error on Ticketer will therefore show up on Bustimes.

Instances can include a driver accepting their next trip after their break while logging off their last run before their break, or selecting an incorrect duty and not realising until after they've then also accepted the first trip of said incorrect duty.
Deptford on an evening, the 24/5/9/26/X20/20/60 all interwork.

With the 20 turning into the X20 from Durham to Langley Park & Return back to Durham to continue the 20 to Sunderland.

At least the drivers won't get bored!

Branding thrown out of the window then.... is it more or is it pointless now?

Services on an evening run off the back of the 5/9/24/26 which will run with fleet livery Streetlites once the remaining surplus Prince Bishops are repainted.

Almost as if Go North East intentionally planned this to ensure branding is not incorrect on an evening.

Dan, are the surplus Peterlee Purples and Blonde solo’s be painted into corporate colours so there can be used on different branded routes so there won’t be mixture of wrong brands on branded solo’s routes?

Am I missing something or has the short term journey cancellation list disappeared from the GNE website?
