Tweet from Martjin Gilbert about new signage getting fitted for when services increase.

We’ve started fitting new signage for ‘Covid secure’ onboard arrangements to buses at our Riverside depot today, with other depots to follow during this week, in readiness for services being increased shortly. Follow @gonortheast for full details very soon ?

On the same post on fb, Martijn has included a picture of the revised capacity poster; Looks to be a StreetDeck so I'd imagine it's 6301 as well. 17 - 27 is the revised figure which is 25% to just under 40% maximum capacity. The normal max seating capacity on that bus is also visible still and is 68.

When GNE go back to an almost full service from the 1st June - will all the buses come back in to service or will some remain temporarily withdrawn? - sure i read its going to be a 80%-85% service.

IIRC, most services will run at 100% during peak, with the rest running at 85% at peak. They will then reduce the frequency when there's no demand, such as late at night and during the middle of the day on some service

Ah yes, forgot to add that Tongue
Think Scania L94 won't come back, also a few older Solos might be withdrawn as well.
Also, Hexham appears to have used Citaros today on X84/X85, so the recommissioning of the mothballed fleet seems to be underway.

They did say, that some services are running temp timetables at some parts of the day,  the 33 might run on a Saturday soon.

Like said above, you still have the 13.

Same, the PVR drops quite abit so means they can be withdrawn Sad

Ye, Martjin confirmed that buses will start to move to their proper depots from Friday night and continue over the weekend.

The Citaros on the X84/X85 might of moved already, maybe with a few more.
Just checked gov.uk, and the L94s are taxed until 1st May 2021, so they might see short-term use after all...

Can easily get refund on those, like they have done past few month. With some routes at Deptford seeing PVR reduction and not all services running usual frequency, doubt they'll make it back in service
(27 May 2020, 5:31 pm)Dan wrote [ -> ]That's the 'longer term' plan (as well as evenings/Sundays on the 25).

For now we'll be running a Sunday service on a Saturday, and the current emergency timetables on a Sunday, until such a time that demand increases.

Can you confirm if the Scania L94's will reenter service or is that them fully withdrawn now?, due to the overall PVR drop?

I imagine we have seen the last of them due to pvr reductions on the likes of the 9/26/27 and 55, you also have the former Bluestar Mercs which could cover the PVR of the 35.

I would also think Versas would be reinstated on the 93/94 as per allocation pre covid-19.

Going to be a lot of repaints to go through once Saltmeadows reopens whenever this will be.

Shame, but i'm glad i got a ride on 1 of them before lockdown happened.

With the X6/X7 using bigger buses from the 1st June for social distancing, i wonder if the 3 spare Citaro's from the 26/27 will end up on the on X6/X7, and then all 6 X-Line solo's on the X20?, this is until everything gets back to normal.

Along with X6/X7... The 9 is also not branded either, along with the 61, which i think that was obvious though.

Has X45, X46, X47 always been just a box with red writing, sure it was down as Red Kite awhile back?

49/49A/49C is also down as "Go North East"

Some brands are t visible until you click into them. Believe the X20 only shows as X20 but Xlines brand is displayed when you click into it.

With some of 56 DD going on 35 possibly
I wonder if 635 and 636 will be allocated to 2 of 925/938 or H2... because i doubt the AD122 will even run this year now.
Does anyone know what buses aren't re-entering service tomorrow and has any been fully withdrawn?

635 & 636 are both allocated to Deptford for use on the Staff Shuttle which operates between Deptford and Park Lane, to allow greater social distancing for colleagues that use the shuttle. This has displaced shuttle vans 1040 & 1041 to Washington (where fewer colleagues travel together).
Just seen the corporate open-top President heading towards Gateshead Interchange with a couple of people in high vis sat upstairs at the back. GNE staff shuttle while it's sunny perhaps?  Wink
