Yes, but overhanging trees may pose some difficulty.  Deckers used to be common (there was a daily Bingo bus) but not for some time.  An X18 was diverted that way on Remembrance Sunday and coped OK

Who clears overhanging branches?

I presume that the bus operator reports these to the 'local' highways (county council)?

Or do operators have their own teams of tree surgeons?

Down to the councils but sometimes they can't get it done because it's someone else's land who plays silly buggers... Such as the long running dispute between Loftus & Easington!

Great!! Does anybody have a feeling Mad Mouse (the old 30A/31A) coming back, they've tried this before and it got withdrawn because of low passenger use age so what's going to be different this time?

I'm going with it just being a hourly service 3 on evenings and Sundays using the daytime route, can't see it being like the old 30A/31A which served Hummersknott and Abbey Road which was similar to the Scarlet Band 16 route to the town centre. Should be intresting to see how this does as I think the old 30A/31A went when Darlington Borough Council stopped subsidising the service. Unsure what you'd have the 4 interwork with on a Sunday now unless the 3's were split like the 12's are on Sunday's at Darlington Town Centre.

Should be intresting to see what the rest of the changes will be...

The night time service 66 is apparently getting withdrawn and you now have a new service 3 to mowden on a evening and Sunday

So during the week you will do

5a to bishop and back
3 to mowden
3 to skerne park
And then back to the 5A

Sunday evenings will probably be the same as during the day and operate 3 skerne park to mowden all day rather than working a 4 to minors crescent and then a 3 to skerne park

If that makes any sense at all

The stockton run normal route to Sunderland
Does x21 at 0835 to middlesbrough reason for this is that the x22 serves seaham.i do hope its those runs brought back rather than more cuts to the service

Unlikely - the bus that used to do the 21a/X21 turn from Stockton does the Framwellgate Moor X12 then onto 21a at 0921 in Sedgefield.

X21/X22 to Sunderland no change 21 minor times adjustment NO change in route
