Extension possibly?

If it is being extended, it opens up a bit of competition with the GNE services that go via Pittington.
On a different note, the Pulsar on X24 from the Metrocentre, arriving in to Durham just before 1700 - heaving.
Appreciate it is just one example, but there must be some sort of demand.

1517 - saw the 14:12 off Metrocentre today and it was left with a fair few passengers on-board.
I dont understand how they were able to run it for so long with double deckers but from my observations at least, it's carried roughly the same number of passengers on a single decker as it was when it was allocated a double decker, unless the changes last year were a last attempt to get the service to work.

Arriva even sent people out on Travelsure's 472 to check passenger numbers, reports came back with woefully low usage, but they still went ahead and bidded for the route!

I don't know what went wrong, they did a good job running it years ago after the Northumbria days.

You mean when they still had an Alnwick depot? Closing that is where they went wrong.

In time for school runs, I imagine, though the Indigo services are better for Belmont.

Moorsbus 2017 route and timetable info is now online with the 2017 season starting on May 1st (May Day).
http://www.moorsbus.org/2017-timetablesfares.html
Arriva North East will operate services M1, M2, M3 and M4 on Sundays and bank holidays this year (M2 and M3 will be Darlington operated and presumably Redcar depot will do the M1 and M4).
Additionally on Sundays and bank holidays, Reliance Motor Services will operate the M5 between Easingwold, Stokesley and Helmsley (and I think a few M4 runs between Helmsley and Sutton Bank Visitors Centre) whilst Stephensons of Easingwold will operate the M6 between Malton, Pickering and Danby plus the M7 between Pickering and Low Dalby.
On Saturdays and Mondays Stephensons of Easingwold will also operate services M8 York - Malton, M6 Malton - Pickering and M3 Pickering - Danby.
New timetables for Darlington services 1, 3/3A/3B, 5/5A, 7, 13A/13B, X1 and X66/X67 effective from May 21st are now online.
Seems to be mostly timing changes but there is a few runs re-timed or withdrawn as well.
Most notable changes are:
5/5A: the last 5A from Darlington to Greenfield School, Newton Aycliffe will now be at 20:45 on Sunday nights.
Sapphire 7 is re-timed in the evenings to leave Darlington at 15 minutes past the hour and Durham at 20 minutes past the hour with extra running time added although the last trip from Darlington to Ferryhill will depart at 23:25.
X66/X67: An earlier morning run from Faverdale depot to Middlesbrough will be added on weekday mornings. The last three Monday - Saturday evening runs from Darlington will depart at 30 minutes past instead of 25 minutes past. The second Sunday morning run to Middlesbrough that currently starts at Faverdale will now start at Darlington Town Centre at 09:25.

Where abouts did you find them

On Arriva's website.
Should say somewhere "a future timetable is available" with a link. On the mobile version of the site, it's on the "view online timetable" page on each individual service's page.

So, I looked at the Arriva website to find out what was happening by the numerous services affected by the closure of New Elvet, in Durham, during the day, this weekend.
Nada.

Who did that one last year?

The 830 was done by Traveller's Choice (or Battersby's Silver Grey) unsure exactly what they were trading as but they did the 830 between Morecambe and Richmond.

Arriva Yorkshire did the 859 between Ripon Bus Station and Richmond which originated from Dewsbury Bus Station as service 820.

Just a reminder that these changes come into effect this Sunday.
Additionally, something that hasn't been noted on this page or notices on buses is that the service 66 that currently leaves Darlington Town Centre at 21:35, will depart Darlington Town Centre at 21:30. The 22:35 from Darlington will continue to depart at this time.
Arriva will be providing a park and ride service for the Mouth of the Tyne festival on 8th & 9th July 2017.

Another thing that hasn't yet been mentioned is that Darlington depot will be taking over operation of some journeys on the 86.

Not certain on this but I think they will have 3 trips (think it's 2 on a morning and 1 in the evening) and I think it runs on/off service 5/5A, so their journeys should be Pulsar operated.
